the "never-ending" weapon upgrading and farming system, im tired of it

You don't HAVE to do this if you don't want to, you are probably far below your skill ceiling enough that 2% shadow damage won't make a difference.They are likely experimenting with things for progressing artifacts, if you don't want to do it. Skip it. Artifact style systems are here to stay, even if we don't keep our current weapon. Kind of like how the Garrison tech was scaled back after WoD to an optional thing.
Grind, grind, grind. Boy am I glad I quit this stupid game. The devs are now just desperate to keep players logging in every day so they resort to this bs

What is the point of this?
First Garrisons, then Class Halls and Artifact Traits, now this. One treadmill grind inside another, inside another, inside another... at this point Blizzard seems to be competing with Chinese mobile gaming companies to see who can design the most blatant Skinner Box.
Oh christ. I thought Blizz wanted to avoid this #$%^? Setting unlocks to be reliant upon the astronomical AP requirements after 52 is guaranteed to make entire guilds quit WoW. Again.
This crucible thing doesn't really look interesting, but then again, I guess relic problems won't carry on into the next expansion. So, do whatever, I guess.
It's me or the synergy of this would make some classes to be overopowered over the ones with no in-build shadow/holy damage?
