How will CM weapons work under the transmog system? Ideally, once unlocked for one, all characters can use the equipable items on the character that originally completed. My assumption, however, is that if you want it on a different character you need to specifically unlock it.
I didn't see this in the guide, and it's important to mention: the transmog looks from every quest your character finished will be added to the UI in Legion. So unless you boosted your character, or only leveled by running dungeons, all those Fashionista achievements are basically freebies. Ok, so you might have to collect some tabards and shirts, I don't remember getting very many of those from quests.
Is it relevant to also consider this season's Brawler's Guild?
From what I heard, Ashran will be a new battleground that can be queued for in Legion...is that true? If so, Warlord of Draenor etc. won't be as hard to get as you suggest. Also, shameless plug that I hope will be helpful - I've made a guide available here that outlines using Dark Sin, Grounding Totem, Spell Reflect, and Glyphed Deterrence to speed up your Challenge mode times (and maybe even net you that realm best time!)
Since Warlords is half an expansion, the main question to me is: Is Legion worth 1.5 expansion's worth of content? My gut says no, but I'll play in Sept.
My birthday is on the Pre-Patch, such a great present for me. lol
Really don't like the idea about removing 'tons of gold from missions'. You do know that the WoW Token price in gold keeps on increasing from time to time (slowly moving its way to 50k gold buyout) and believe it or not, the 10k limit of Garrison Resources is going to be left unchanged, so if the limit of Garrison Resources doesn't change while removing all gold from the missions, then chances are that I might not enjoy every bit of the pre-patch due to resource overflowing.
Great guide!
I will never understand, why Blizzard thinks its ever a good idea to REMOVE content. It will always be a slap to the face for a new player, when they see a mount, pet or an item they would like to acquire, but never can, since it was deleted many years so ago. No matter how low drop rate the item would have, or how long the quest, or other stuff that makes getting it hard, I think that everyone should at least have some way to get those. At least for me, who is an apt collector of many things, its pretty painful to see that I might never get to fill my collection properly, just because some itemssit on your collection lists taunting with "Unobtainable" tag. Sorry for the rant. :)TLDR: Removing things hurts.
Depends on the server, but I paid 30k on WrA Horde side to get mine, and that was a low price.
What to do before Legion easy:- Unsubscribe.- If you pre-ordered Legion subscribe back before the release date 1 week.
do we know if any tier gear is going to be made unavailable ala tier 3 and naxx?and do we know if crystallized fel (for the legendary ring) will still be available (either as drop or purchase)? need to prioritize :)
I'm a casual so I won't be doing the challenge mode stuff nor will I get the moose. To be honest I don't care about the moose as I have Onyxia. But I'd love the challenge mode bow that looks like it's made out of vines & has butterflies fluttering around it.But *shrugs* Not like I'd use it unless I made an elf Hunter lol. I have almost zero bag space with full Hexweave because I've been holding onto Transmog stuff for a while & holy crap am I glad we get it in the pre-patch so I can organise things before the main expansion starts.Honestly all I have left to do is finish my ring upgrade for my Horde alt & maybe my soon-to-be Gnome Hunter. I came back to WoW last year on a fresh account after not playing since Wrath & I've completed so much because of the lack of end-game stuff in WoD lol. Kinda just upgrading two rings & running dungeons & raids once a week for mounts now.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but it's also the time to get the toys from garrison menagerie / pet charms. Blizzard already announced WOD pet charm acquisition will be nerfed in Legion.
