Yeah hopefully they change it atleast for the old quests, otherwise im seriously going to regret getting loremaster on my Mage instead of my Dk >_> that would just be a waste, also not many people would want to go back and redo that O.oOther than that the system looks pormising :D and i cant await to get my hands on it and sell the thousands of items in my banks xD
So the original Naxx gear do not have any class restrictions, only the quests restricted class. The BMAH bypassed the quest so anyone of that armor class can get the Naxx look of other classes. A monk can equip the original Bonescythe. The dk, monk, and dh starter gear technically has the same thing as 60 Naxx. Armor isn't restricted, but the quest are. If I make a dk, can my paladin equip the starter gear?
Currently Armor Skills on my DK, just for comparison. With that, if it isn't changed, I would presume platewearers have better ways to farm transmog, since they can wear ALL armor types (only class restrictions available for some items). That is, if they don't change the way the 'equiping' stuff is as now. Also, some drop items are BoE, so even if the character you dropped it can't use it, you can send it then to one that can. Transmog system will be like Mount/Pet/Heirlooms/Toys sistem, account-bound, each with some resctrictions like, reputation, class, faction, level, etc. For transmog, some set items will be restricted to class, like paladin Judgment set, for example (and I think only they would be able to Add it to the collection, even if you drop the pieces on another class). It's just like Fandral's Seed Pouch which only druids can drop in Firelands (although I'm having bad luck to make it drop haha, gonna try leveling more druids across other realms to speed things), or rogue specific toys.
I think what some people are not getting is that we simply want to farm an old dungeon/raid and have an item thats bound added to the account wardrobe. It doesnt matter WHO you farm it with. So plate wearers do not have an advantage in that regard. I just want X chances at that item, where X = the number of characters I have. For example, when you farm Onyxia there are some very nice items that drop that the current character killing her CANNOT wear, but I don't want to keep waiting for that item on a specific character. That's just dumb.
Yes, there was that question asked at Blizzcon and they confirmed those items will be unlocked.
you should allow any transmog armor appearance for any armor. i mean, it is purely cosmetic and well, clothies are highly disadvantaged when it comes to attractive armors. so please, allow us to transmog vendor armor and hell, starting gear or boost gear too.
My issue is this: I don't want to run old raids on four separate characters, just to collect looks. Nor do I want to have to do old quests four different times to get the benefits. I much preferred the 'soulbound' method.
Leave it to Blizzard to turn something that appeared to just be a much needed quality of life improvement, into something with arbitrary restrictions, gating and limitations. Seriously Blizz? Leave that jazz for the actual endgame, not transmogrifying. Utterly ridiculous.
still didnt understant this system yet.one of issue for me.when u add boe item its dispear?another issue are they gone fix vanilla gears.i mean at vanilla warrior/paladin gears low lvl at mail.so orginal warrior paladin low lvl set u cant use it.but hunters shaman canits kinda annoyingdunno maybe they fell same way for some leather under 40 item on must be able some exceptionif they dont wana work on systemthen change those kind old items to plates
I have a question, since for example on hunter I can actually equip all weapon types except maces, so after challenge mode completion will all the weapon transmogs except maces be added to my wardrobe?
What about those set items that you get from crates that followers bring you? Like ? Would that set be restricted to monks, or could I use it as a rogue or druid?
Any word on if the stuff from the Ethereal Soul Trader is transmoggable? I've got five of six pieces bought, on one character, and don't want to do all the work for all my alts...
Right, so still no hide belt option. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the one piece of gear I want to hide the most and Bliz still wont let us.
If I loot an item on my paladin, say, plate shoulders from ulduar, warrior tier recolour, will this model/colour variant be unlocked on; only my paladin? All my plate wearers? All my characters, but only plate wearers can use it?
