WoW will soon suffer from the same spam Wildstar had suffered. People will start asking "when will F2P hit WoW". And that lvl20 f2p or the gold per token explanation just won't fit. It's not doomsaying. I really really REAAAALLYYYY hope that when %^&* is elbow high they will come up with something to shut mouths. But for now WoW is just MeH.
Hello Perculia, why do you tink gamescom will bring numbers up? &*!@ expansion is WoD so there is no reason why numbers go up, wlll even go worse...Next x-pac will not come before Q1/2016..
HA, wasn't Blizzard just boasting about slashing between 150k-200k subs in that last botter banhammer?200k subs is a drop in the bucket compared to the 13 million it was at one point, but...i mean. But yeah, this release statement was obviously embellished to please stockholders and big Activision.
Flying, not really a draw. I was cheered at the news until I saw the hoops I had to jump thru to get flying in Draenor. Guess if you are active and doing current content, it would be great news. But if you haven't played since the expansion first came out, the list of achievements to get just to fly in Draenor looks mind-numbing and tedious and boring.
This is what happens when you remove classes signature abilities, this is what happens when you make classes like Hunters and Rogues faceroll in pvp, this is what happens when you make the game catered to casuals, this is what happens when you lie about your game and continue to create these fake announcements about removing rep grinds then added rep grinds, didn't add farahlon, didn't finish tanaan, didn't do anything with shattrath, and letting bots sit everywhere level up and honorbuddy in pvp, you screw up your game by not listening to players who have been here since 2007, you've destroyed the warlock class, you've nerfed demonology skills by 25% because you dont want everyone play that class? What were you people smoking when that went live? Meth? You nerf Star Surge but you dont nerf feral? You just nerfed balance before feral, that in itself shows me that you all don't know what you all are doing with you game.
meh its bound to happen with a game as old as wow, all i know im not going anywherealso it saying "WoW Down to 5.6 Million Subscribers" dont mean much cuz i got friends that droped there sub and is just payin there acc with coins
Naval missions, tanaan dailies, Rares etc. Prob not #1 by much but still seems bigger than Timeless Isle >isle of Thunder > molten front
As much as people are raging at Blizzard for giving us crap and short content, I still feel bad for WoW going down that rapidly. Would be better if Blizzard closes this WoW storybook for good with just one epic, fantastic expansion and then like all quality gaming companies, focus on other games. Seriously, time is flying, the era of MMO's are and will soon be over.
and here i thought wow had lost its magic for myself... looks like it really changed for the worse.im trying swtor now, to be honest its a wow reskin, but questing is way more enjoyable, the combat animations are ven better than gw2 and the voice acting is fantastic
mmos are still strong. eso and ffxiv are proof of it, grindy mmos are dying.
perhaps blizzard activision spin doctors should become members of the clergy... They spin that much bullshyt that only a fool would believe
Considering that Blizzard's customer disservice makes Microsoft' alleged help look like Doctors without Borders, is it really any wonder that they keep hemorrhaging subscribers? Given the ill-conceived and ill-executed Warlords of Draenor expansion in addition to the incomparably lousy customer disservice shouldn't we be amazed that subscriptions aren't down more? The fact is that WoW has lost its way. The artwork remains of a fairly high caliber though it tends to rely on new skins for old MOBs and cutting and pasting from old areas (anyone else se lots of Krasarang Wilds in Tanaan Jungle?) Instead of imagination Blizzard has been foisting sub-games off on subscribers in the hope that most people won't notice the dearth of ideas since Wrath. We subscribed to play WoW not Pokemon, not Farmville, not Stronghold even with improved graphics. If you can't write a coherent story line and have almost no claim to imagination any longer no one should be surprised that subscriptions are down precipitously. For years we asked for a home for our toons where they could rest, store some of the items we now call Toys, have a closet to hang our tabards in and a separate hearthstone to get there. What we got was a game of Garrisons that takes longer to play for fewer rewards than ever any run of dailies did. Garrisons was over-thought into an annoyance rather than an advantage. Pet Battles are simply a pointless waste of time. Some may say that the game has been around for a decade and is getting old and creaky. It doesn't need to if it goes back to its basics and starts dazzling us with great graphics on a par with Ulduar and well-written, coherent story lines and invention within the main game. WoW is still a relevant game but the people behind it have lost sight of what it is and could again be. Give players more choice on builds, gear and buffs. Return to the principle that not everyone can or should raid unless they develop their skills. Put back the humor and fun and subscriptions will start to climb. Better still emphasize that a ticket should actually offer service and help to customers rather than an insulting brush off and WoW will get some subscribers back and be on an up-swing.
Make conquest points available in arenas and rbgs only! Then will be better for serious pvp players.
