I usually play through the game first as your typical brute melee fighter, with defensive skills if available. Sometimes that helps with inventory space choosing melee stats, as I'm a huge pack-rat and can't bring myself to part with the dozens of potions/scrolls I find.
I like to pick characters who can do all kinds of roles, from healing, tanking or dpsing... and the role i like to be doing most is DPS (ranged pref.) since i like to see big numbers on the screen lol
Warrior usually, shield + sword tanky type, if possible :)
Definitely a melee rogue. I'm not a big fan of range rogues.
Casters now, use to be the char with the biggest sword!
I usually play archers or paladins. There's something about being an unstoppable, or being hidden and picking people off from a distance, that I've always liked.
well I play the all (almost all the time), but I start with the warrior/paladin mele dps type of class, after that I choose the range dps or caster.
When I'm playing an RPG like WoW, I'll usually go for the more Warlocky-caster type classes. But in something like Skyrim I prefer more of the Melee-type classes, or an archer.
The game looks like it'll be tons of fun! I tend to lean towards the warrior class types in games first, but on concurrent playthroughs I go ranger and tend to play those classes longer :)
I play Hunters, Druids, Paladins and Mages - I like the variety. I enjoy the pets, being able to heal, swapping from ranged to caster to close in fighting. Changing gears from close in to ranged or vice versa gives the most challenge. The completely different non-thinking reactions of where to run towards when the fight starts and which strategies to pull have to shift, quickly. I think I tend to hunter more often simply to have the pet for company.
