My favorite holiday in World of Warcraft would have to be Pirate's day of course! It is the one day I can bring out my inner pirate without being judged, who wouldn't want that! You can walk around saying "ARRRRRR!" and people will actually respond to you instead of just putting you on ignore. Pirate's day brings great laughs to the World of Warcraft, it also brings a free achievement to boot =P. Get turned into a pirate AND get 10 achievement points? Thank you Blizzard <3.
My favorite holiday is by far Hallow's End.I love getting together with friends, doing BGs and throwing costume's on each other via wands. For instance, one time we were all dressed as ghosts, fun times.
My favorite holiday by far is Winter Veil. My buddies and I always fill our banks and our alt's banks with snowballs in hopes that they will last the whole year.Between the snowball fights in Orgrimmar and the Giant snowballs in Alterac Valley provide loads of fun during this special holiday!

Favourite Holiday? Actually Hallows End. Why? Because of the back-story, the variety of activities and vanity items. There is more to do than simply farm a dungeon boss for loot, and there has been in every incarnation of that holiday. It does not hurt that Washington Irving's story of the Headless Horseman is a personal favourite as well.
I'd have to say Hallow's End because the Headless Horseman has awesome voice acting.
I'm going to have to say that Hallow's End is still my favorite but most frustrating as well. Still no mount for this poor soul =(
My favorite Is Hallow's End fallowed closely by Feast of Winter Veil. The two holidays that you get stuff no matter what. But Halloween is my favorite in real life just because you get to dress up and troll the costumes lol. Just an all around fun holiday.Happy Halloween everyone.
Winters Veil.I love going to the tree and finding new gifts that Blizzard has given us, and also talking to the Orc Santa (although his attitude seems to be more of a Goblin) where he asks you to get things for him, and you can't forget everyone riding a reindeer and having epic snowball fights around Orgrimmar.
My favorite holiday has to be this one, Hallows End.. Mainly because of the horsemans helm. Since bc I've always played a mage or a clothie classes and could never wear it . but this year I have a 85 pally and this helm is what I'm using to dps so in the midst of dpsing rag I just use the helm and laugh while it's laughing cause I freakin love the helm.
Everyone seems to be choosing brewfest, but it's definitely winter's veil for me. Christmas is the best time of the year, and there's nothing to commemorate Christmas like a fake holiday with a name ambiguous enough to not offend anyone but still be similar enough for us to recognize it. And presents!
My favorite holiday is Winter's Veil. I really like all the decorated tree's all over azeroth and the string lights. The best part of the entire event is it ends with presents for everybody and eventually fireworks to ring in the new year. Only thing missing is a winter's veil boss, need to make the grinch a max level boss :-P
My favourite holiday is the "Hallow's End" too.Reasons?I just love pretty much everything about it.The transforming wands for example. I'm personally a HUGE fan of items that transform your character, to look like someone/something else (hence why I have collected a lot of items myself too - like the: "Leyara's Locket", "Darkspear Pride", "Orb of the Sin'dorei", "Frenzyheart Brew", "Stave of Fur and Claw", "Iron Boot Flask", "Kalytha's Haunted Locket" and of course, I also got some stacks of the famous "Noggenfogger Elixir".I know there are more of such items available, but this is just my personal collection so far.And as you can see how glad I am of transforming items, the wands during the "Hallow's End" is just something I adore. (I know other events got such items too, like the winter veil ... but I mean, look at the amount there is during the "Hallow's End" ...)My favourite transform-wand from "Hallow's End" is the Bat one. - It's just so different and funny, and as I play a warrior as my main character, I can even be a bat in combat fights (or well, I can't use spells such like shouts, but I can attack and use abilities that use my weapons (which pretty much is every other ability that I can use when being "silenced")).Also a note to you guys. If you summon a mount at the same time as someone tries to transform you into a Bat, then you will end up being a bat, that's riding the mount you summoned :D. Oh, I just remember the laughs my friends and I had when someone did this to me during a raid. But that is just one reason for why I like this event so much. - Another reason is the headless horseman boss.As I play warrior as main myself and have done so in every expansion. The headless horseman has been a great opportunity to get a plate helmet back in the Burning Crusade, when I still was a noob and never really got the chance to get any decent epic helmet from elsewhere (I didn't have much time to play actively back then).First time I heard about the headless horseman, was (as mentioned) back in TBC (year 2007) during the first "Hallow's End" experience I have ever had. - And certainly it didn't take me long to find out that this boss drops a decent plate helmet. So as I came home during the afternoon of a Wednesday, including pretty much the whole of Thursday (I had free that day), I spent at the entrance of the Scarlet Monastary, hoping to find a group who needed a tank (or dps) and didn't care much for whatever or not I could summon the boss or not. It was tough, but believe it or not, there were a lot of people back then who actually didn't bother much for whatever or not you were able to summon (mainly because the later it became, the more difficult it also became to find someone who could summon).(For those that didn't play WoW back then. Pre-"the dungeon finder", each character could only summon the headless horse man mount, once per day, as well as the loot did all drop from the boss (there was no special bag reward)).And then finally. Friday morning, I saw this helmet drop, and I just felt so excited and relived, like when I first passed my driver license or finished my very last exam in school and you just know, "this is now officially over and accomplished!" (no kidding!).There was no other warrior or paladin in the group (coincidence actually, firstly as I personally never rejected people from joining because of their class, but also because I personally didn't form that group). So people congratulated and I got the helmet.I was seriously so happy (even though the helmet looks stupid on a tauren (in my opinion at least)).I enchanted the helmet right away, as well as gemming it.... And after that ... I went to do the daily quests in Skettis (I farmed rep there for the Nether Ray mounts). But I specifically remember that day, because of the excitement I felt, after having looted the headless horseman helmet! And thereby my first epic helmet I got in TBC as well.I even remember constantly right-clicking on the helmet for the special laugh. - I think I clicked that 500 times, just the first day.As time went and my first experience of the "Hallow's End" was over. The very first thing I remember thinking was that I looked forward to the next year's "Hallow's End".So one year later (2008 aka still in TBC), I heard about this mount that the headless horseman could drop. (The headless horseman mount).Perhaps it did drop this mount the last year too, but I personally first learned about this mount the 2nd Hallow's End I participated in.There was one major factor that made a big difference this year though. As I personally played more WoW at that time, I had some more serious friends in WoW too, so I enjoyed that year's Hallow's End with my friends of course, - where we logged our alts to give each other more summons on the characters we wanted the loot on.So when we one day did the headless horseman, we once saw a drop, that none of us knew anything about (surprising none of us knew about this drop, - we may not have been that clever looking bosses up back then). The boss dropped of course the sword. The one hand sword that summons pumpkins that will assist you.As none of us really needed the sword, we decided to all just need on it for the fun of having a nice vanity-item, and to see what the "use" did (honestly, we didn't know it back then).I surprisingly won the sword :). So equipped it and showed my friends what it did. That year, sadly none of us (my friends or myself) saw the mount drop.So I once again, looked very much forward for the Hallow's End, the next year :)So, one year later (2009 - so 11 months after the release of Wrath of the Lich King). I looked forward for this boss.Part of because of the transforming wands, which I miss every year :)But also because of this mount, that none of us ever saw drop, yet we were so exited about the previous year. So, once again I farm the headless horseman mount, together with my friends (now guildies), where we use alts to increase our chances for our mains. And so it happens. One night where I'm together with my friends (part of the same friends from last year), the mount drops, for the very first time (for us at least). In all excitement, we all need on it. And one of my close friends (a holy priest, which was there with me, the previous year too) won it (that priest was her main too by the way).(I tell you. This was why this girl was being known for having luck with mount drops :) ).I even remember how much she used that headless horseman mount after she achieved it. It was crazy. Every time you saw her coming flying, there was no doubt it was her and not some other guildie, because of this mount. - Even when I saw someone else in a major city with this mount, I firstly thought it was her.But. As I personally didn't get the mount that year. I very much looked forward for the event again next year :).And so it came, year 2010, the year with the introduction of the dungeon finder, and thereby the change through obtaining the mount, the sword and the plate helmet. Where you instead of looting the boss, got those through a bag, you could only obtain once per day.(So no more "cheating" with alts any more.)Anyway, because of this change, it pretty much didn't matter whatever or not you did it with your friends any more anyway (it took 2 mins to clear anyway). So I went in there with all of my characters, every day the event was available (the characters that have the level for it of course). And when the event ended, I ended up achieving 6x headless horseman mounts (spread on 5 characters, so my paladin has 2 -- including one on my beloved main warrior).I gotta admit, that I was really lucky with those mounts that year. I know a lot of friends who never got any headless horseman mount ...So, now. One year later (2011). The event is up again.I admit I don't have the same excitement about this event as I used to have, - mainly because I feel, I have achieved it all already and as they didn't add any particularly new items this year. But still. I missed the wands, like I do every year. - And thereby I missed the use of them during our raids as well. I always find it lots of fun raiding with my friends, joke and transform each other into funny looking creatures/humanoids/undeads etc.But as you may have understood by now. The actual reason for why I love this world event more than any other world event, is because of the experiences and memories I have had from participating in it for all those years. And even though every other world event there is in WoW is fun too, I still believe none of those other events do or will match the funny memories and experiences, I have had so far with the Hallow's End. Which is why, this "Hallow's End" -event, is in my opinion, the best world event, there is in WoW, and I will enjoy the event this year and possibly also next year etc (if I still play by then - which I likely still will do).And for the record. I still keep my plate helm and sword (the very first once I got), for the good memories they give.
