Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, took me two years of RNG hell.
I rolled my char 2 1/2 years back with my RL buddy whom I've know for 15 years, but he ended up quitting shortly after, so I kept going. Over the past 2 1/2 years I've been in many guilds, danced with loads of randoms in Azeroth, lol'd at hundreds, and probably hugged a few along the way. 3000 Quests Completed is my favorite, however. In 2 1/2 years I've added some 183 friends from all the random group ups in Azeroth, Outlands, and Northrend. From the 5 minute "kthx gai," esque to the "Omfg, u scurb, l2p, scrub."Despite the good and bad, it's nice having added them all along the way, and kinda neat imagining in my head how close and far they may be from me IRL; 5 miles? 2000 miles?3000 Quests Completed Is my favorite, by far.
The two achievements that I'd consider for this are:40 Exalted Reputations, earned during WotLK. I had all the "easy" reputations done and needed 1 more to complete it, with only the Goblin towns, WSG/AB factions and all the obscure ones (Darkmoon Faire, Ravenholdt, etc.) left and I decided the Goblin towns would be the least horrific. In the end though, I must've run Dire Maul 200 times in order to finish it off (I ended up finish all of the Goblin town reputations since they were so close together in the end). Despite the fact that I never want to see Knot's face every again, finally getting the achievement felt so good. "The Exalted" was also my favorite title, the one I wore pretty much all the time. The Loremaster, earned before the revamp of Azeroth. It was a lot of fun going back to old zones or zones you'd never even visited and seeing and experiencing the quests and stories that Blizzard put so much effort into. The further along I got the harder it become to find quests I had not done yet, but than whenever you found a new quest that you hadn't done yet I'd get all excited and happy and receive the motivation to look for the next quest. Having to chose, I'd have to say The Loremaster wins out, albeit slightly, due to it being more interesting than grinding the same mob or quest over and over for reputation.
"Can I Keep Him"? Just because it was the first achievement I got, and because I didn't read the notes on the update that instituted achievements, I was really startled.
Im most proud of my "Old Ironjaw" achivement, it took 3 years 2 months and 13 days 21 hours 49 minits and 7 seconds before i got the ugly fish on my hook.I dont even want to think of the amount of times i was killd in Ironforge, or how mutch time i spent corps running back to ironforge after beeing gankt.
Swift Flight Form. This epic quest chain was a lot of fun at level 70. And it was great to get Swift Flight Form as a reward from quest.
I remember how hard it was, back in the days, to get "HIGHER LEARNING" .. but I'm also very proud of "WORLD EXPLORER" since I did this one before we can fly everywhere... it took a while to do it.But with 7860 achievement points, it's hard to choose!oh, and what about "" Did Somebody Order a Knuckle Sandwich?"" with a mage? ::D
I've collected plenty of titles from achievements but the one I still use isn't Starcaller, The Light of Dawn, or any of the raid achievements, it is Loremaster. I decided to get the Loremaster achievement before Cataclysm arrived. I started playing WoW in early July, 2008 so I missed a lot of the Classic and Burning Crusade content until after I leached level 80 in WotLK. Working the Loremaster achievement was often an exercise in frustration. Quest chains like the one that began with the sunken rowboat in Un'Goro had me bouncing between Un'Goro and Winterspring like an insane ping-pong ball but those chains taught me a lot about the game. I learned more about the lore of the game from completing those quests than I had from actually reading the books for Well Read and Higher Education. Also completing the Loremaster achievement revealed much about the design and structure of the game, about the designers' intention to link Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms as an organic whole in the Classic game. I will never forget getting my 686th Kalimdor quest from a female Gnome standing on a stump south of Andorhal in Western Plaguelands. I still use that title. It suits me.
The achievement i love the most (The Twilight Zone) also gave me my favourite title which is Of the Nightfall. Now this achievement is for killing Sartharion with three drakes up and the amount of times I tried to do this on my rogue at 80 was well insane to say the least, week after week I would make a group to try and get her down for champion of the frozen wastes due to it being really long and cool title. Then on the 20/7/2010 I finally killed her with three drakes up and didn't even realise I got a title for it, I was so excited about my champion title to even notice Of the Nightfall. Its still my favourite title of all the titles I have and plus it looks cool with my name....Subtleremedy of the Nightfall
For me, it's definately What a Long, Strange, Trip It's Been. Took me nearly two years because I started when I was low level, and I am very proud of myself for completing the multiple PVP achievements involved despite hating PVP. I also was insane and completed it with two characters simultaneously. Pardon me while I celebrate finally earning my Violet PRoto-Drake . Woot!
I am most proud of my Represent achievement. Why? Because my guild tabard looks bloody awesome!
I like It's Over Nine Thousand!. An achievement for getting achievements. Just what I like.
The Undying Is the one that I'm most proud of. It was the one that taught me how to raid, how to raid in discipline, how to be patient and made me the raider now I am. For all my raid achievements I have right now I must be thankful to the one and only The Undying.
