I hope a similar update to the females is forthcoming. Don't get me wrong; it's enough that they aren't Vixen Barbies. However, there seem to be two recurring issues with female WoW models. The first is that they'll always designed to look "cute" if their male counterparts are designed to look "cool." (Those need not be mutually exclusive...but I digress.) The second is that more work always seems to be put into the males.
Finally alliance has a scary race.
I love the look except for the face with some textured 'teeth'.Please get rid of that, it looks rediculous(Night elf makes can have these kinda faces as well). The neutral mouth of the old face looked pretty good, but I like this one more overall.Ps. It seems like Blizzard is trying to give these characters a more serious look, it would be much appreciated it all the races would get this sorta update.
I thank they should add both, a good choise of faces. The old face I would roll a Druid or Hunter with and the new face I would rool a Death Knight or Warlock with, they both look cool as worgen's. Although they still need tails. lol
well, that ends any inkling of a desire to make a worgen.
Hmm i dont know, maybe having a forever pissed off worgen isn't that good
Now let's take a look at the models from a logic-point-of-view.Do we actually know what the Worgen Curse does to you, your body and your mind? The whole system snaps and you twitch in senseless pain and agony, while your physical structure change shape. Bone, flesh, cartilage, tissue; the whole biochemical structure changes with the shape! We all know how to reconstruct. Break and rebuild. Some furry-lovers may say "But it's magic. Thus it can't hurt, and if it hurts, it can't hurt that much." Well. Remember this is not a "classic" druidic shapeshift. This is a curse. A curse is meant to cause harm. Also, magic hurt. While under the effect of a regular worgen transformation, the human mind is unconscious. Someone mentioned rabies(Wiki)? It's quite amusing since that's basicly what a regular worgen got: They're infected with a curse/disease and they go mad. The main difference being that the Worgen Curse is not lethal(unless one gets him/herself killed doing a "seizure") and the "virus" strengthens the body instead of weakening it. At the cost of human self-awareness.While being in worgen shape, the infected/cursed is subject to new chemicals, which likely makes everyone look like a potential meal. These chemicals likely also enforce their ferocious behaviour. A full-blood worgen will kill on sight. Heck, kill on stench."After many attempts at developing a cure, the infected people of Gilneas have managed to keep their mind and consciousness..."This doesn't make the people of Gilneas a pack of cute, fluffy furry-creatures. They're still worgen. They're still potent killing machines with fangs and claws. Even while in human-form the worgen blood flows through their veins. While in worgen-form the blood runs thicker. But they're in control, to some degree. The worgen blood works like a hormon. No this hormon doesn't want you to get laid. It want you kill. It wants you to cover yourself in gore. Gilneas worgen got the hormon under control, but I believe that they got a furious temper. And no, they're not lovingly Twilight Jacob. They might match his temper, but they're not like him.And yet again no, they're not werewolves. They don't transform when they stare into the full moon. They look like werewolves and they behave like werewolves. But they are not werewolves.Phew. What a relief! Now remember that this is merely my humble opinion, added some logic and a pinch of lore.
Worgen lost their humanity, this is greater defining for that.Do want.
Personally don't like the new model. Looks more viscous, yes ,but it looks like a lion with an elongated neck. The hairstyle makes the model look to have a neck twice the size of it's head and the nose on both models would look more at home on a lion.Instead of "new model" blizz should just add this one as another choice in the character creation screen. Can't wait to see how female worgen model gets screwed up..."Hey Bearmanpig, meet Giraffelionhead."Blizzard is definitely not done with models yet.
