Regardless of the type of game, whether it be pen-and-paper, single-player, or an MMO, I tend towards "wild" classes, such as shaman, or druids, as they usually fit the kind of gameplay I enjoy.I tend toward melee spellcasters. I like to be in the thick of things, so I'm not generally interested in pure, ranged casters, but I find physical melee kind of boring on its own. Never really been interested in tanking, and whenever I play pure DPS I end up wishing there was more I could do to help my teammates when they get in trouble. I like to heal, but don't want to just sit there and stare at health bars, so I end up trying to contribute some damage or CC as well.
Main is usually a Hunter/Ranger class. Secondary is usually Priest.
Me: "Hi, I'm Ghata and I'm addicted to casters..."All: "Hi Ghata!"I found myself playing in almost every kind of RPG available (online, live, classic table games and more). After years of gaming, I finally discovered I was unable to really enjoy any class other than a caster type. (And I tried hard! Oh, the old gods know I tried!)So, yeah... I guess I'll be stuck in the mage dps / healer / supportive role. Unless I discover a tanky caster character, which I never really managed to find...So at the moment it's like... casters! Casters everywhere!
I always go for a Warrior/Rogue type class (if the game has it, wich most RPG's have anyways). Lately i've been "drifting" towards Mage/Warlock/Healer type class. I love dual wield type classes (Rogues! <3) .:D
I've never been much for the healer role, regardless of the game. I remember trying to play WarCraft III and maintain my armies through healing and I just couldn't do it! Nah, when it comes to all games, I'm a born strategist and damage dealer. It doesn't much matter if it's melee or magic, though I do favor magic in most cases. I'd have to say that my all time favorite class to play across any game is a Necromancer, mainly because they usually let you raise up your fallen opponents so you rarely have to do the work. ;)Sadly, Necromancer's are a dying breed in modern gaming, so I've taken to the role of Shadow Priest in WarCraft and mage's almost everywhere else. The range gives me the buffer zone I need to wipe out my enemies without being wiped out myself, and I absolutely love it. ^^
In singleplayer rpg i play rogues and in mmos i play healer.
I usually play a monk style class, unarmoured, unarmed, with close damage magic and healing as well as being very nimble and agileSome games (cough Skyrim cough) believe that the trinity of rogue, mage, warrior are the three main classes and hybrids such as battlemages (although the DW system in Skyrim was awesome for this) and monks(Removal of unarmed and unarmoured skills and well as touches) get gimped a bit. I usually end up going rogue because i like being agile in games. I'm not a fan of "ARCANITE REAPER HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" into a battle and cutting everything up. I'd much rather sit in the back picking of enemies one by one, usually with a bow.Not a big fan of pure magic, for games like Skyrim the first few hours of magic combat was awesome, but it felt way too samey in my opinion, with a stealth class you have to approach each situation differently, even if it exactly the same, the enemies are likely to move about and you will have to adjust your position accordingly. Also, pets on hunter classes are an awesome distraction when you're bored :POh, and i play a rogue in WoW, soon to be a Monk. been waiting for monk for too long.TL;DR: Monk if i can, otherwise stealth/ranger class
Usually rogue type
i play mostly caster or sometimes a thief.
Ranged DPS classes mostly :)
Great comp. again.I like to be a warrior/tank all that gore and blooshed leading from the front.
Usually I prefer playing a ranger-type characters. With a bow as main weapon, of course :)
Caster. Multiple abilities, kiting, stay at range, particle effects, different types of damage (shadow, nature, etc), cool-looking abilities. Yeah, casters are pretty awesome. What I've seen of the demo makes me kinda pumped for Reckoning too, so I really hope I win this!
