I usually play a rogue in RPGs, or whatever is closest to a rogue. I like using archery and alchemy. In KoA:R, I intend to use the Finesse/Caster or Finesse/Might classes.Cheers!

I tend to prefer melee classes. Especially ones that have the ability to punch stuff.Doesn't explain why I play casters in WoW though. =x
I usually do multiple play throughs on rpg. My first run through I try to be a caster/mage type, and for the second I go for the tanky roll.
I generally play ranged classes - I dislike melee. Magic or non-magic isn't really a consideration - I can get into both playstyles. I also tend to choose classes that have some sort of active healing spells.
I usually end up playing a healer.
I generally play classes that fight up close, like a raging Fury Warrior or a poisonous Assassination Rogue. But I do like to play from a distance occasionally, especially as a Mage of any sort.
I've always managed to automatically pick warrior/barbarion first it's a habit of mine, even if it's just for testing purposes. Then again I like the Idea of going in first charge/walk with all you've got and be the meat tank so the rest can deal with it safely. (seems like tank/dps)
i usaly play the mage because i like setting people on fire
For solo RPGs I usually end up playing a rogue or warrior type class. For Dragon Age and the Kingdoms demo, I did rogue. For Skyrim and the like, warrior.
Usually i play a healer, i seem to be a support personality in real life so it fits. if a game doesnt have a healer role then i play ranged magic users.
So....I started a DPS warrior with a kill everything in site mode because anything else just isn't fun. Well, then I got bored and changed to a druid dps caster. Eh, didn't particularly like it very much...finally settled on a kick ass mage......but only after trying every other class! Needless to say, when SWToR came out and even during beta...it was just natural to make a sith inquisitor sorcerer. Casters FTW....
