If I had to pick one, I think the most memorable (and favorite) moment is when my tiny guild managed to (with a sister guild) defeat Blackwing Lair the week before Burning Crusade came out, and I completed my full Wrath set the same run. Yeah, it was made obsolete the next week (with quest rewards!), but it was very exciting to complete both those things while they were still difficult.
Favorite moment would be trying to heal from a ledge in UBRS when it was a 15 man raid. Not knowing what was going on, being a newbish healer, getting bumped off by the mobs that come to watch the fight then saying in vent... "Guys we might have a few adds." Our group promptly gets owned and disbands due to the repops that spawned. Took us over 2 hours to get there... all of 15 seconds to wipe the group. I felt horrible, but my guildies remind me of that whenever they can and we all get a good chuckle from it. That's what I get for being so naive and green when it came to doing level 60 instances/raids. What a long strange trip its been!
I have done so much on wow and so many memories have been created. over 200 screenshot's of interesting and neat events that occurred on doom hammer. Among them are playing on my old graphic card which turned everything into three colors ( blue, black and white) , mounting around Dal on a mammoth creating a chain , doing H MGT everyday for 2months with my druid friend Elven so i can get the white hawkstrider (because he got the mount on the first run of H MGT we both ever did) , working on rep for mounts and getting my blue dragon hawk and more that would take an entire novel to explain my fun memories and times. But my best memories of wow, the ones i always remember and smile each time i decide to go back their again, are the memories in which i was with my friends whom i meet on wow 2manning raids or just finding an interesting glitched area (before Cataclysm) to get to. This one location which i discovered was unique and special and is still my favorite memory on wow. Cataclysm has allowed everyone to get their now. But sometimes i take the long way where jumping and mounting we're required to get up to this lovely hill and waterfall. It is my favorite memory because even though i flew over this hill, leaving stormwind, i always wanted to be there before anyone else could. One lucky day i decided to travel all around finding someway to climb the tall mountain and get to the waterfall. I decided that from Stormwind and Elwynn forest that there would be no way up and Burning Steppes would be the only way . I was trying to get to the Northshire valley ( the river above Northshire and east of stormwind in Elwynn Forest). Running around trying to find a way and i did! Before anyone else on the entire server i was up on the hill looking at the waterfall and exploring on my own without being glued to the taxi flyer. This is my favorite memory on WoW because since that day i was able to show all my friends what i discovered. They all loved it and i spent time their talking to them and using neat trinkets. I only showed 6 people how to get up and i would spend a lot of time there at level 80 just looking around. It was beautiful and amazing and it still is my favorite memory of wow.
I cannot pick out a single event of playing wow that i love the most or that means the most to me. What i can do is let you and everyone else know that i would not be playing Warcraft if this site did not exist. There are other sites out there that have info about wow but nothing comes close to wowhead.com. I am on your web site a dozen times a day on average and every time that I'm on wowhead my questions are easily found and answered plus more. Thank you wowhead for being there for me over the years.
My favorite memory of WoW is when I first found out about it. My dad was playing it at my uncle's house for a long while, and then finally he decided to buy one of his own. I remember first logging in and being so amazed at all the options! I do remember I was super bummed to find out that I couldn't make a human hunter. Now, I can full fill my dream:)
My best memory is when I reached level 22, and I chose to sell all my gear in order to buy all the armour that the vendors sold..... which were not so good :D
My favorite memory was a guild run after we had MC handily on farm. One of the officers threw some tunes on over vent and we basically ran a muck and cleared the whole place all the while listening to some good tunes as a group. MC Dance Party was the tag on the guild site for the pic. =]
My favorite memories of WoW are the making of my first character, appearing on Azuremyst Isle and setting out to explore the world around me. You get a sense of awe, a thrill that you can never quite catch again with future characters. That first time you set out knowing nothing of the rest of the world and exploring and discovering it, from Westfall to Winterspring and Outland and beyond my first characters experiences are my favorite memories.
When I was first leveling up Pre-BC and how fun and helpful the community had been. Back when we would have world pvp battles and guilds came out to SS/TM and Blackrock mountain. The amazing feeling to know that when you needed help, there had been some there who would be glad to. = )
My favorite World of Warcraft memory would probably have to be the 8+ hours I spent in the Barrens on my night elf hunter looking for Humar the Pridelord in the summer of 2005. I really love that particular memory because it's so foreign now. Between life changes and WoW changes, I have a lot of nostalgia about that time. I stayed up all night looking for him (I think I was maybe level 30?) because I thought he was the most impressive looking pet. I don't remember being bored, but I do remember being frustrated at how long it took him to spawn. When he finally did pop up, I nearly had a heart-attack and tamed him. I had been listening to the band Something Corporate the whole time and named him Konstantine after my favorite song by them. I always look for him when I go to the Barrens even now. That was a good time :)
My favourite moment in warcraft has to be when me and 4 of my mates (1 pro) all got together to level up etc. We were hanging outside SM by the stone and I spot this Orc warrior AFK just at the side. Me being a new player I said on TS "Alex, whats that over there?" pointing at the warrior. He then replied "That looks like a full epic geared Fury warrior Pete" to which I said "oh".... the warrior then did some rambo impression and we all died.. He 1 shot the 5 of us. We all laughed pretty hard.
