Aah, the 45-minute Baron run! Finally, finally completing that with my friends when we could cobble together maybe five epic items between us. The feeling that we'd beaten the game, not because of shiny purples but because we'd put blood, sweat and tears into working together to the best of our abilities was awesome. The entire quest line was superb and my Sorcerer's Regalia will always have a special place in my bags. Thanks Blizzard <3
This was about 4 years ago (I was a TBC baby) I had just achieved the greatest feat of my 3 months of playing: My first level 70, a hunter. I made friends along the way, among them a resto druid, a bear, and 2 rogues. We all hit 70 about the same time, and we were pumped to start raiding. After struggling through some heroics over the next few weeks we decided to make our own Karazhan group. Got a few people from trade chat and headed in with no knowledge of boss strats. I think that was the most fun ~5 hours of my WoW career! We beat against boss after boss, learning the fights as they went on or wiping and suggesting strats on the runs back. *Flame wreath don't move* Ohh Medivh... We eventually lucked out and killed it, and moved on to chess and then Prince. I think we spent an hour on prince before we discovered the books on the ground running back. I think we killed him the next go around after playing hide and go seek with a lost mage. It's a memory I think I'll have for years to come. We still raid together today!
My favorite time playing WoW was my first time, I remember creating my Undead Warlock, I had him wandering around, trying to figure out where to go, I enjoyed getting lost and figuring ou where to go to be honest, and finding your first green, that was so awesome.. it was like the best thing that could happen to you when you're that level.

My favorite memory on WoW was when my level 55 hunter discovered the portal to the Outlands for the first time. WoW is something I do with my daughter. It's a great way for us to spend time together and you can definitely say we are not power players. We treat our characters as real people and just "explore" . We had no idea how to get to the Outlands and when I discovered the Portal I called her over to my computer so she could see it too! Even though it was late we stayed up to explore and watch the demon battle on the other side.
My favorite memories in WoW was when I was playing in vanilla. I didn't raid, I didn't care about gear, and I had a bunch of real-life friends to play with and chat in guild. With their help, I was able to twink out a 19 mage and I did nothing but battlegrounds. My life was simple and WoW was fun. I did this to two toons, one Horde and one Alliance on two different servers, with two different groups of friends over the course of vanilla. Now, I still have fun with the game, and thoroughly enjoy it, but I still mentally reminisce of those simple days.
A friend and I were jumping the heroic dungeons in Wrath of the Lich King, switching our 80's to get the emblems. It was growing late so as I jump on my Druid Tree, I say 'I have work in the morning. If this group blows, we're ditching it for the night.' As we enter Halls of Stone, we all begin buffing, and the Paladin rushes off to the first group. Within moments I notice agro is EVERYWHERE, and am trying to keep the party alive. Within the first pull, I am dead. Luckily, the shadow priest was kind enough to res me while my friend was asking if we stay. I was about to say 'one more chance', before I notice the tank rushing off while I am still dead. "No, we are out," I tell him. All of a sudden in party chat he screams, and I quote:"OMFG""MY CATS IN MY FRIDGE""ITS EVERYWHERE!"And then ports out of the dungeon. I spent the next two hours I should have been sleeping laughing with him about his dungeon quit quotes.
My favorite memory in WoW was just goofing off in shattrath city with a very close friend that lives across the country from me. We had just recently aquired swift flight on both of our druids, and decided to play hide and seek =). We de-grouped and took off, using /target to see if we were close, then looking for the blue target circle to locate eachother. It's suprizingly challenging with all the nooks and cranies shatt has, lol. I'll never forget the fun, seemingly mundane game that was!-kry
My favorite memory is when we killed Kaelthas in Tempest Keep in TBC. Such an epic fight, especially when you are not even in Tier 5 gear :D
My favorite memory was back when we had 40 man raids and finishing MC for the first time...It is really hard to explain how cool it was. 40 people all screaming over vent or teamspeak that rag was down..I still think about that every time I log into WoW
I believe my favorite moment in WoW was my first vanilla Nefarian kill. A classic (for my guild at the time) ninja pull with no one raid buffed. Of course.. back then, you had to buff group by group and was rigorously expensive. But anyway.. our "favorite" mage decided that after 2 weeks of wiping on Nefarian he'd up and forget the rule about NOT talking to Victor Nefarias. But the inevitable happened, and we all rocketed into positions as the skeletons began to spawn. We fought hard, and eventually... to the surprise of us all... Nefarian went down, server first, and not a -SINGLE- death (even the one constantly DCing rogue of our 40man managed to keep his 4k health bar afloat through it all, that's why First Aid is good kiddies :P) An amazing accomplishment for us all, that on our 12th attempt of the night, we pulled through with 0 deaths on a ninja pull. But then of course, DPS Warrior gets the Ashkandi that dropped and is never heard from again. >.>Anywho, as for WHY, it was simply an epic moment. The entire effort of our 40man raid through three weeks of progressing through BWL to finally down the big bad black dragon. All the meantime... on an "accidental" pull none the less. It was what really got me set on playing WoW for a loooong time.Anywho! Happy Anniversary WoWHead, hope that maybe for once in my years of trying these contests I will win something! :D
My favorite memory was meeting someone in WoW that I have been in contact with for the last 6 years. We met in Goldshire while I was asking in General how I can shoot with my wand. She explained and we started questing together afterwards. She already had a higher level character and because were both mages, she reloged and made us some wands. I was really impressed since my only contact with MMOs was with UO where everything was really complicated to make. We have been inseperable since then, leveling each expansion together although we're both very busy now. She was always there to give me advise and also buy my first mount, while I struggled to gather any real money.
