My favorite memory of WoW was getting my entire guild up onto one of the floating islands in Nagrand, We hung out, put out a bunch of fun items and enjoyed vent and just regular convo, while we watched talbuck wandering down below. Was nice because I was in TX at the time, while everyone else was in OH
My husband and I are a competitive. We race to get the companions and mounts. My husband of course has all of them almost. except for one. I was out doing lower level quests in Booty Bay for my lore master achievement. I was hunting down Bloodsail Buccaneers off the coast and I accidentally looted one. Normally its junk to an 85. Low and behold The Hyacinth Macaw dropped just for me. Our computers just so happen to sit right next to each other. He just so happened too look over and see it in the loot box. His jaw dropped in awe. He asked me for....I said no...He tried to tempt me with hefty price. With a gleam in my eye I right clicked to learn. He has been jealous every since.
My favorite memory is founding my guild for the first time, on release day. A guild with friends and raiders which I still run to this day!
My favorite memory of Wow has to be back when I played my Warrior in Vanilla. Those were really fun, challenging days, and I miss them a lot, actually. I remember the good ol' days, bugging people and guildies to group up with me so I could get in some more BRD runs. I also remember running Naxx 40 and MC. Grinding all of that gold for my mounts at 60 and 40 took a long time, but it was worth all of the trouble. Those were the best memories of WoW for me.
My favorite memory is the first time my guild master ran my level 61 Warlock through Molten Core on 4.1.0. My major spoils of that evening: 1 Sulfuron Ingot, 6 pieces to the Felheart set (I can haz amazing drop rates?), and somewhere around 60 gold for each of us. This was definitely a time that I will never forget, no matter how many times I can complete Molten Core by myself.
The moment for me that springs to mind immediately is first entering the Outland when Burning Crusade was first launched. My rogue, clad in her half-completed Darkmantle armor (mixed with what she still needed to convert of her Shadowcraft set), stood atop the hills surrounding Honor Hold, and all I could do was stare at the sky above her. The writhing energy, the planets in the sky, and the stars beyond them all combined with my rogue's position on the hilltop to paint a breathtaking picture that spoke volumes of what was to come. I knew then nothing would ever be the same again - it was a new world full of new adventures waiting to be experienced. I play on a roleplay server, so whenever I look back on my screenshot of her against the sky, I can't help but imagine how she would have been even more awed than I was at the sight.
After so long running solo playing RuneScape and other RPGs, getting into WoW, which had an actual community, was so refreshing. I talked to people for reasons other than hawking my wares or complaining at them for stealing my trees. Two days into playing, I found out one of my old friends played on the same server, and invited me to join his guild. I remember applying... freaking out as the Guild Master himself came to interview me. The next day, the Captain, who is as ornery as you could expect from an old military man decided he needed to drag my sorry rear through Blackfathom Deeps with me worrying the entire time I would piss him off and get kicked out...But then, a few days later, I timidly asked if anyone wanted to RP. Before I knew it, the entire guild had coalesced about me, and we just played our characters. Got to know each other, had a great time. I found the wonderful community that is my guild and my server. To find so many cool people, just having fun, hanging out and being ourselves... that is the best memory I have of WoW. In part because it's all been uphill from there. I have never once thought about quitting WoW and leaving these awesome people behind. Of all the MMO's I've played, this one has had the best multiplayer ever.
My favorite memory is downing Kel'Thuzad with my guild for the first time. Was a memorable experience!
It was back in vanilla days when i completed the quest chain for pally epic mount... :)It was magical!
My favorite memory is getting my husband to start playing the game with me; it was right before TBC so it was fun leveling our toons to 60 before release. I still laugh at the time my husband was playing on his priest and just got spirit of redemption and the grp wipes in Deadmines and they ask can we rez here.
My best memory was back when AQ gates were opened. I was farming rep items and cloth, then shortly after two horde come riding up and asked. Do you wanna kill some ally "They later said it was because they got ganked". I gladly said yes, shortly after my brother yelled out he got owned by a raid of ally getting ready to do a Royal summon. My bro rezed up and killed one of the healers fearing the other causing the MT to die, thus leading to a wipe of the raid. After that the ally raid ran around killing any horde on site. So then the horde gathered up and before ya knew it was a massive fight right outside Cenarion Hold which lasted for well over an hour. Ah great times back then.
