My favorite memory would be making and leveling my first warrior to level 10, was my first character to actually level, took me a month to get to level 10, good times..
My favourite WoW moment was the first time I tamed Loque'nahak because I thought he was gorgeous, and the fact that he was rare and everyone wanted him at the time probably helped :) I had flown around for a few days looking for him, spamming my target Loque macro and hovering over the yellow dots on my map religiously, even getting up during the night a few times to look for him. When I did finally find him I was so excited I nearly killed him instead of just tagging him :) Fortunately I remembered what I was meant to be doing, froze him, tamed him and got myself a shiny new pet!
Been thinking bout this one a while now and I think my favorite moment was when I tried to solo Xariona in Deepholm. I didn't know it was considered a world boss at the time and figured eh im a hunter I can solo almost anything with my pet....I was wrong...lasted bout 20 seconds and then I became dragon kibble. I called in some guildies thinking we could do it as a group, and yet again we ended up as a 4 course meal for it. We had a good time tho and it was definitely one my most memorable WoW momments.
As an avid WoW player since vanilla, there are a ton of memories to be had across all expansions, but original still sticks out the most.It is interestingly enough a PvP memory though I was on a normal server. My guild got bored one day and decided that we wanted to give Org a big old friendly hello. We really didn't know what we were doing, I hadn't even been to Org at that point. As all 40 of us stormed in through the front gate, taking out typical shopkeepers and guards, we ran into a problem: the Horde were trying to kill us. At the time, people didn't even notice us, but after a while more and more joined in. We then went into a building, a tower in the middle of the city. When we bolted in, we realized there wasn't exactly an entrance. So....we were kind of out of luck. As we sat in the tower, Horde just piled in through the front, but since they had to run up a ramp, we just used all of our AoE killing them before they even started to climb. So, we were kind of doing alright. A few of us did die before we ran inside the tower, and according to them the number of Horde outside the tower just continued to grow as they came inside. They said well over a hundred, but I didn't really know because I couldn't see anything, being inside. We held out for a good 20 to 30 minutes. However, we knew we had to leave. So, with no escape, we did what any brave soldier of the Alliance would: We summoned portals to Stormwind, and as they all began to charge inside, we took the portals, all of us escaped. We never laughed so hard on vent. We could just tell that they were angry at us, as apparently our attack prompted the Horde to try a counter attack, but it didn't go anywhere as about 20 or so of them attacked Stormwind, instantly being crushed.Unfortunately, I have since moved on from my hunter (Avyana), my guild which disbanded, and my server (Kirin Tor). While I have had many other memories on many other characters, this one still stands out after 5ish years, not that we did anything spectacular, but it was just so funny. PvP was much more rare on servers back then, so it just made it even crazier. It means a lot to me because at that point, all I had been doing was raiding. It was fun, but it was getting boring AFKing and autoshooting. A random spark that prompted my officers to just say 'we're doing this' showed me how much this game has to offer, so much outside of just raiding.Grats on 5 years guys!
Mine was finding Skoll while mining in storm peaks on my hunter. I set down to do some mining and all of a sudden this blue wolf thing with lightning starts attacking me! Tamed it that time, And I'm loving it!
My favorite was in a former guild raiding Kara, raided it on one toon, full clear, then we had a second guild run starting an hour later, so a couple of us hung around and changed toons, and ran it again for another full clear... Total time: 12 hours. By the time we were done with the second run, we were so tired and slaphappy and exhausted we couldn't believe we made it through some of the boss fights without wiping. Most fun I had in WoW, it was an epic night, raiding from 8pm-8am....
Sortof my old RLs memory, not mine. Putting together a guild alliance back at 60 so that our respective guilds could do MC. Probably not a single one of us had been there before, except for him. We get in, and one of the very first pulls we pull 2 of the mobs -- an almost guaranteed wipe. The RL is, he tells us later, cursing to himself and dreading the idea that we're all going to be demoralized 20 seconds into our first MC foray and it will take months to get us to go again. However, *we* don't know it's an almost guaranteed wipe. No-one says anything, just starts focusing down whatever was marked. Our RL goes :O, and in his best "nothing interesting at all is happening" voice gives us some bland instructions about dealing with whatever their special ability was. We kill them easily, wait for our next instructions.GM goes "hmmm..." and lets us continue pulling two mobs at a time. He didn't tell us about this until the night we downed Ragnaros for the first time.
My favourite memory in WoW, is meeting a special someone in Dalaran in Christmas 2009. I met a Warlock, we made a little camp fire and sat around it. A few others joined us, and we had a little conversation going. There was about five people there for at least a few hours just having a huge conversation. After speaking for awhile, we got friendly on skype etc. The warlock I mentioned earlier, just happened to be one of the most beautiful girls in the world, and I have now been with her for nearly nine months, and we're close to being able to move in together and spend the rest of our lives together. Just because of World of Warcraft, to me this is one of the best memories I have, but seeing as it fits into WoW, I thought I'd share it.
My favorite moment was killing Rag. Raids felt so much more epic back then.
My favorite moment was back in early BC when I was still a noob and leveling my first character. A friend was running me and my hubby through BRD and we were standing in front of the fire boss waiting for someone in the group to catch up. Joking around I /fart'ed on the boss. Moments later a giant wave of NPCs came streaming in past the boss and killed us. They were actually aggroed by our slowpoke friend's pet, but we all KNEW that my fart drew them in.
Mine was last week getting my girlfriend to join my guild on a bwd run and having her survive the first 3 bosses with her first time raiding :)
I have been playing Wow for almost five years now. I am an active raider, mount & pet collector, and lover of lore. Through all the questing, farming, elation and heartbreak this game can give you..my favorite moment occurred about four months ago. I was leveling archaeology when my two year old son walked in to see what I was doing. As he watched, I wasted a low level whelp with an arcane blast who happened to be on my dig site. He screamed "Daddy shot a dragon! Daddy shot a baby dragon!" . For the next hour, I killed whelps as entertainment. Nothing else counted...just whelps. He giggled and even pushed the keyboard a few times from my lap to take out a few of his own "baby dragons". Kinda sappy, I know. Watching my son get more excited about whelps than I did over my first epic item is something I'll never forget.
