My favourite memory in WoW has to be when I first started playing and spent a while wandering around Stormwind taking in how large it was compared to what I expexted!Seeing max level characters and knowing that their view on the game was vastly different to yours and how much more there was to learn!

Starting my first character in Shadowglen (Darnassus, Warrior, Caelestrasz - Ojay, 2009) and not understanding a single thing about the game is my fondest memory of WOW. I often return there and handout 10G to noobs, wishing I had the same kinda help when I first started, (took me 3 months to reach level 15). I get misty everytime I return to the area.
Creating a guild that ultimately took over my life xD
My favorite moment was back in vanilla me and my parents was spenting hours on trying to fix my warlocks Dreadsteed, we found it simplely impossible to 3man but when we were about to give up, I figured out that I had to refresh some floating items, so make the boss stay, and be killable - Explained it to the father, and he tought I was super silly, but we worked it out!Congrats alot on the 5th anniversary, been using your website very very much :-))Regards
Ah yes, my favorite memory. How could I forget? I first started playing around Patch 1.7.0 - the Zul'Gurub content patch, if I remember correctly. The first day I started playing WoW -- in trade, I saw people with various tradeskills saying things like "LFW leatherworker, you bring the mats". There was something I wanted from a leatherworker, and being the noob I was, I first looked up "Mat" on the Auction House and found nothing. I began to ask on Trade "where can I find a mat?" You can imagine the storm of people making fun of me, but one person whispered me and told me everything I needed to know, and talking more with her she turned out to be really great. We started talking more and more and doing things together -- to this day, she still plays with me on a daily basis and is probably the best friend I could ask for! We've met IRL a number of times as well. :)
My Favorite moment was finding this site. It was the best WOW day of my life. Please never leave me.
My favorite WoW memory would have to be about four years ago when I first started playing. I remember I was a Blood Elf Hunter and randomly was invited to a Guild. My guildies told me all about World of Warcraft and what a Guild was. I then told them how I hated questing in Ghostlands because of how dark it was and the Guild Master told me: "Come to Silvermoon City and click on an orb behind the prince." Knowing at least that much, I did that and was teleported to Undercity. I was quite amazed and he told me to exit through the tunnel and I did, taming a pet bat on the way whom I named, "Flutterdude". He told me to climb the tower and get on the ballon-looking thing. I did and he said, "Run down and I'll be waiting for you outside on a giant chicken." As soon as I got to Durotar, I was amazed and relieved to see the bright, happy-feeling zone. My Guild Master showed me around and introduced me to The Barrens where I began to quest. It was amazing and I truly learned so much from my Guild and The Barrens as I quested through it. Now from the Cataclysm I've lost touch with my Guild, they've vanished without a trace, I've gotten rid of Flutterdude, and The Barrens are destroyed. Everytime I pass through the land and see the wreckage, I can't help but think back to when I first began. Exploring and questing with Flutterdude, my helpful Guild, and the peace of mind I got from The Barrens, of course with the occasional, "Barrens Chat" ;). I guess this memory just sticks to me because it's when I was just learning my way and everything was so amazing and wonderful. Brings a smile and a joyful tear to me everytime I think of it. :)
My best memory doesn't sound like a good one but it really is. My first real raid with my current guild I was a fresh new 80... I was a Wrath-baby and I knew nothing about my toon or raiding... and they pulled me into Naxx to do Raz as a spriest to MC the adds. They asked me what my hit was and I was like... "What's hit"? Everyone groaned, and that was the mood for the rest of the fight. But my guild is awesome. Back then we were all struggling. And they got me the glyph for Mind Control and got me hit food. And they just rallied for me. At the time spriests were really rare on my server so they were kind of stuck with me and they spent a lot of time grooming me. And I was just bad. Now 2 years later I'm an officer in that guild and I've watched this guild grow from struggling to make 10 man progression to doing 25 man HMs. It's incredible to see how far it's come. And when I look back I see that first fight. I always see it as the guild motto. This guild always makes the best out of a bad situation. And during raids we work together. That's all you can ever really ask for.-Alicante <Against All Odds>
My favorite memory in WoW is everything before WOTLK -_- back when people actually had brains and didnt complain that they game was kinda hard... Back when just everything was better and before all of this 120k hp bulls**t. This was my favorite memory because this is when i actually had a very good time on this game :)
MY favorite moment was winning a Mekgineer's Chopper in a contest. I was trying to win a gold contest...most gold in thirty days but once in knew I would not win. I thought what the h3ll i'd stay and have fun. So i made my comments in the short and the long . The gamemaster I guess liked my style and awarded me this even though I was no where near the top. They even sent it to my main. How sweet.
My favorite moment was when for the first time I killed illidan at level 70 right when I could raid black temple I rans to it so fast illidan already knew he was dead. And when I saw him die I felt so good it was unbelievable I me! Actually killed illidan the betrayer! I was so exited I didn't even notice the parasites killing me.... Then I died right before illidan right at the spikey tips of his horns then I got a rezerection and figured out he didn't drop his wargalives but it was still the funnest raid I've ever done. I still remember it today the second his health hit 0 and he rook the knee right in front of me. Good times.
I don't belong to a guild that's very good at bleeding edge progression, but getting bosses down for the first time isn't any less fun for us than it is for anyone else. My first raiding experience was Naxxramas in Wrath, and even though I don't recall which boss I downed first, I DO recall taking out the four horsemen. Why? It was the night I won my first tier piece. I seriously went to say "woot" over vent and choked on the word. I immediately ported myself to Dalaran to enchant, gem, and equip it, then got summoned back. I don't think I've ever been so proud of my character model.
