My favorite memory was back in vanilla while leveling up my warlock. At around lvl 42ish I had 5 gnomes attack me. They were all 2-3 levels below me. I managed to kill them all, and then they kept rezzing in 2s and 3s to try and kill me. They kept attacking me and I managed to kill them for over an hour. Being an undead, I couldn't resist having a snack to celebrate afterwards(mmm gnome flesh).Oh, and seeing rag for the first time was great too.

My absolute favorite memory of wow was the day I completed the epic quest chain for my Dreadsteed. Looking back I was such a novice to the game, I am surprised I even was able to accomplish that, but with the help from my friends in my guild, we completed it, and for a few of them it was also a first. That whole quest was such an enjoyable experience, I loved the event and I hope blizzard creates more unique questlines like that.
My favorite memory is of course the one when i just began playing, the fact of seeing the immensity of Wow's world, jumping off Teldrassil's branches, having fun in the deadmines with friends, discovering the world while being only a newbie...That was really good =)
I think my favorite moment was the first time I got invited to a raid. After being slightly behind my guild while leveling, I finally caught up and had been working on gearing up. The experience of joining 39 other people in Molten Core for the first time is something I will never forget!
My first character was a Draenei. Took me over a week to get off the starter island, I was so new to the game. It was very lonely and I was really questioning the MMO side of things despite being in awe at the sheer scale and magnificence of Exodar, a city of impressive beauty but without players. One day I suddenly I saw a player in the distance, scurrying away, busy questing probably. A real player and not just an NPC! I never did notice his race or level, it was such a fleeting glimpse. So I did some research and discovered Wowhead. I learnt how to catch a boat and how to reach this distant city on a far away island. Soon I was in Stormwind and I was totally speechless. There were players everywhere. I was whooping for joy. This was what WoW was all about. Lots of players, everywhere. I decided to continue playing WoW then and there. All thanks to that tiny distant image of a nameless player running off into the wilderness. Proving that I was not alone. The day I discovered Wowhead and the WoW community I shall never forget.
As a warlock, my favorite moment was the day they changed the summoning stone into an actual summoning stone. That's right, no more individually summoning each person using a soul that I had to farm in order to get people to where I am.... Thank you Blizzard!
My favorite moment was definitely killing M'uru in Sunwell, before 3.0. We had been working for weeks, changing around our raid comp, strategy, etc, and one week we walked in there and killed it on the first pull. It was almost surreal that we were able to do it so easily, but after banging our heads on it for so long, we really knew every nuance of the fight and just had to execute it.
My favorite moment was getting my first flying mount and then just flying all over looking at things from above and finding all those little hidden spots you couldn't get to otherwise :)\
Favorite memory in WOW is still the discovery of exploration and climbing at level 10, way back in the early days of Vanilla. I've down a lot of bosses, gotten a lot of titles, accolades and achievements along the way, but nothing really touches the time that I first watched the sun set behind the peak of Ironforge Mountain. Even on my crappy computer back then, I could still see the pinks, purples, and oranges. It was very magical.
My favorite moment in WoW was back in Vanilla, when you we're known as a god for having more then 1 epic mount. It was my favorite memory, cause Vanilla WoW was so much more fun and challenging then any of the expansions.
my favorite memory about WoW is when i joined my current guild, i just switched realm lvl'ed a brand new char and applied to a casual raiding guild just after 3.1 was released and there was major summer slack. This allowed me to get a spot in the raiding team and enjoy Ulduar to it full glory. and after the succes that was i got to enjoy seeing the guild grow from a social to one of the better raiding guilds on the realm.
