Gotta be honest, the poster featuring Lady Taria is the only one I'd really want to hang on a wall. The rest are pretty bland in terms of editing, and King Llane's is just plain horrible (the soldiers in the front look like they were badly superimposed on the image, for Pete's sake).
I love WoW and the Warcraft stories, but I don't have high hopes for this movie. A lot of the stills I have seen so far have reeked of early 90s FMV CGI.
Garona looks so horrible. We have these amazing gigantic beasts of humans and orcs and (even though she's half orc) Garona looks like she jumped out of Azeroth's playboy. What a disappointment.
Looks quite neat tbh. Doesn't clash as much as the human and his armor does with the visual thematic (that is to say, Ogrim pretty much doesn't).
Holy !@#$ing &*!@, King Llane.holy *!@#ing #$%^, King Llanehe's so hot
My one wish for this movie? Is that we the players don't show the world what a bunch of self-entitled, overly critical, ungrateful, humongous bunch of snotbags the loud clamoring ones amongst us can be. I would like the a) the non wow playing fans to enjoy the movie, and consider playing the game, because they're excited about this amazing world we're all a part of, andb) the wow fans to take a step back and just go see the movie with non-judgemental eyes and just enjoy the ride, and c) for people in general to think before they take to their keyboards in feigned outrage over a project which has defined several peoples LIVES and LIVELIHOOD, and CAREERS for DECADES. I wish those overly critical keyboard warriors would get off their collective lazy butts and contribute to society in some way instead of passively sitting on the sidelines passing judgement over something they have neither the skill nor wit to create themselves./end rant.
Red for H - Blue for A - Grey for?
Exactly, garona doesnt rly look like a female orc and guldan looks like plastic. Even in the trailers guldan moving is rly out of place comparing with the other orcs.
These look, sadly, incredibly bad. They had another shot at the posters after the old ones that were so, so badly edited with that sci-fi font and stuff. These look like my 12yo brother Photoshop practice materials.
I find it rather funny that some people have commented that the Garona portrayed in this movie doesn't look like an orc. Fun fact = Garona isn't supposed to look like an orc. She's half draenei, half orc; with the combining features causing her to look human like. This has been stated in the lore. A lot of orcs considered her to be "ugly and deformed". In the beginning before Garona learned the truth to her lineage, she thought she was half orc and half human. This could very well be how they are going about Garona's story, much how it was in the lore regardless of what they tell you now before the movie comes out. It would kind of ruin it for people who have never heard of these character's backstories. How Garona came to be is well woven into other characters and their development.I understand how the pose in her poster could be considered a little too sultry (as I'd rather see her wielding poison tipped daggers, propping a foot casually on a corpse), but I'm not going to complain. As for how Gul'dan looks in the poster, I'm a little concerned. I wish the character in the movie looked like the recent Gul'dan from the Legion trailer footage when he finds Illidan. Now THAT is how I envisioned him. I hope that's what he looks like in the movie and the poster is just an awkward moment where his hood doesn't fully cover his ugly, slimy features.
A small nitpick: that's not the Doomhammer in Orgrim's poster. That's Blackhand's weapon.
I really hope this does well. I don't know if people appreciate how brave they're being by sticking with the Warcraft visual style. It's potentially going to off-putting to the wider audience who'd have been much happier with LotR-style orcs and dwarves instead of these more cartoony ones. Same goes for the big shoulderpads on the armour and other classic Warcraft visual themes. What's happening here is they're sticking to the style of Warcraft that the fans recognise because they realise that if they deviated from that, we'd all be saying "this looks nothing like Warcraft, what are they doing?" and would've lost their core audience. So they're taken a risk on what he mainstream perception will be in favour of us, the fans. That's a great thing that both comic book and videogame films very rarely do.It's also pretty funny how many people don't realise what Garona actually looks like and that she's only half orc (it's in her name, for crying out loud, her last name is Halforcen). Here she is in official Warcraft media.http://www.imagebam.com/image/ba7ce5476860493Here's an early picture of her (by Metzen?)http://www.imagebam.com/image/4a9172476861588
Don´t buy that Garona. Even knowing she is a half-orc half-human for whatever clumsy reason, and she has been always the "sexy hybrid green assasin with fangs", the sexualization of the character is totally unnecesary. Is just a way to say "ey, look, green boobs!"
