I'm going to have to go with Hallow's End. It was the first world event in which I participated, and the first I fully completed. And the new updates for Cataclysm are awesome. The Squashling is one of my favorite pets of all time, and the new Witch Cat is arguably the best pet cat you can get. I mean, c'mon, it has its own broom to ride! The Jack-o'-Lantern head is one of the funniest cosmetics in the game, the Broom is an awesome temporary mount (which they need to make permanent). Everything about the holiday is great (except maybe relying on other people to help put out the fires in the starting zones). I love the look and feel of Halloween, and it's well reflected in Hallow's End.

Definitely Winter Veil although Lunar Festival isn't far behind.Winter Veil because Christmas is such a great time of the year, it's during Winter Break so I have some time off from Uni to play as well as much more people active. Also, what's better than a raid and peppermint hot chocolate?
Hallow's End, without a doubt in my mind.It was the first holiday of the game that I really got into, for a rather odd reason:I love the undead. In lore, in-game, everything. I was chillin' in Brill one time last year (my first year with the game), and noticed the decorations."Umm, k," I thought to myself. Then a headless dude on a burning green horse barrels down from the sky, lights a lowbie on fire, and sets Brill ablaze. Without even thinking, I joined in the huge community reaction to it: I grabbed a bucket of water and sprinted for a building, chucking the bucket frantically, without knowing why I cared. That holiday, I joined in the fun, and listened to "Goblins Dance" by Ensiferum (don't judge) some 618 times. Just during Hallow's End. I never listened to it again until this year, and it'll always encapsulate my love for the this holiday - for the fun times I've had, and the fun times I will have again.
Hallow's end, mainly cause of the masks and how pumpkins are randomly placed around cities/towns. I always love seeing the decorations placed around Stormwind and Dalaran. Besides those, the candy buckets while collecting them, is fun for me due to the fact that I can explore and possibly find easter eggs placed around the game that people hardly see.
What is your favorite holiday in World of Warcraft and why?my favorite holiday is most defiantly Halloween, for many reasons. First, i LOVE having an epic, instant mount for Bgs and world PVP, and second (as a human frost mage) i have loads of fun each year doing the dailies and quest chain and harassing/ganking horde in ruins of lorderon (cuz im on a pvp server ^.^).
What is your favorite holiday in World of Warcraft and why?My favorite holiday is Winter's Veil. Christmas is my favorite holiday in real life so naturally it's my favorite in game.
My favorite World of Warcraft Holiday would have to be Hallow's End. My reasoning is simply due to the http://www.wowhead.com/item=37012. Aside from that, the achievements are not insanely hard like some of the other holiday events making it possible for me to complete them all =)
Everyday with my paladin is a "holi day"! ^^
Brewfest, easily. All the crazy hijinks, fun cross-faction mounts, and unique item rewards make this such a fun event. Honorary mention this year goes to Hallow's End though.
Hallow's End. Cause there is no other event that keeps on spamming Hallowed Helm at you on a daily basis, while still can only have one. What one to pick D:
Brewfest, always and forever. While I had been playing WoW on-and-off for years, my "off" time always unintentionally coincided with the Brewfest time of year, so I had never seen the holiday despite playing since 2006. Well, during the 3.2.2 PTR they had premades up and, due to being subbed a few months prior, I could log in, copy one over, and play for free (/cheese grin).Alright. Now, let me side-track for a minute. Back in WOTLK, premades sucked — they didn't even come with Meta gems, or Enchanting (you only had a bunch of pre-made Scrolls in your inventory, usually bad ones). Nor did they have any rep with the Northrend factions or Sons of Hodir — so no Arcanums or shoulder inscriptions, either. They were missing a ton of important stuff.I didn't care or worry about this for 90% of my copied freebies, but when I got to Rogue — a class I had never liked or played much at all during my previous time with WoW — something amazing happened. The class just suddenly clicked and I totally fell in love with it. Suddenly, at 80, it just felt so fun. My other premades were quickly forgotten, and I poured my heart into this temporary Rogue.I wanted to be the best Rogue I could be! I slogged through all the pre-quests, and then ran Ebon Blade and Hodir dailies every day for weeks until I had enough faction to get my arcanum and shoulder chants. I wheeled and dealed non-premade transfers until I had my Meta gem and all the right enchants for my gear. I begged, pestered, and harassed Live transfers into crafting BoE leathers that had a better stat spread than my premade gear. I ground up Skinning to have a second profession adding some DPS bonus. And I ground up Cooking from 1-450 (and ran Dalaran Cooking dailies every day) so I could make myself Agility stat food.I knew the character would get wiped in a month, but I didn't care — I was having way too much fun. Then suddenly one day, Brewfest popped up on the PTR. "Hm, I've never done this before!" I thought. Filled with enthusiasm for my Rogue already, I indulged my curiousity and poked around at Brewfest. And it was marvelous. The music, the games, the quirky lore — it was the first time a WoW holiday felt exciting, instead of dull and chore-like. I was already having so much fun with my Rogue that I jumped right in and decided to make the most of the holiday.I ram raced her until I was a pro at it, slew Coren every day, merrily strutted around Dalaran with my Beer Goggles and Pink Pachyderm, and generally just enjoyed the hell out of the holiday while enjoying the hell out of my freebie Rogue. When 3.2.2 PTR finally shut down, my meticulously-improved premade logged out with her Brewmaster title proudly displayed, ready to be obliterated by the next PTR server reset. I didn't care — I had a great time. That entire 3.2.2 experience was truly some of the most fun and excitement I've ever had in WoW — rushing around maxing out my character before PTR shut down, and then rushing around doing Brewfest so I could get my title in time. Now, every time Brewfest comes up again on Live, I get an adrenaline rush of warm, fond, fuzzy memories and Sprint down to the event grounds to ram race and beer goggle and lift a stein to some of my best WoW memories — ever. So, yeah. Brewfest. Always, and forever. :>
Midsummer is easily my favorite, because it really encapsulates everything about WoW into one concise package. You have your bonfire dousing or reigniting, which shows the rivalry between the Horde and Alliance. You also have to travel all across Azeroth and Outland, so you can really see everything the developers have taken the time to create. You have fun minigames to play as daily quests (okay maybe not Torch Juggling so much.) You even have a really fun boss to fight! Ahune is one of my favorite holiday boss fights because you have to not stand in the fire (ice, really), you have to switch targets quickly, and there's even a straight up burn phase for dps classes to really flex their muscles! There really couldn't be a better holiday that shows the true spirit of Warcraft, which is why Midsummer is my favorite holiday.
NOBLEGARDEN--- it reminded me of being a kid, chasing after eggs.. hoping something extra was inside the egg. Every year I look forward to it. It was the Holiday that made me think they holiday events were fun and cool. It was the Holiday that helped me convince my wife to give WOW a chance.. (she now has a level 85) And this last one, my daughter loved to help me search for eggs... she was so excited that we collected over a thousand eggs (over days!) after all of my toons had the achievements. NobleGarden shows that WOW is much more than fighting and killing, its also about learning rabbit ears go with everything!
