My favorite holiday in World of Warcraft has to be Hallow's End.Not only is it awesome, but every year my sister and I do all the storyline quests together. This year we rode into Undercity on her X-53 Touring Rocket to drench the Horde wickerman out. As we flew over UC our q pop'd for The Headless Horseman, she dismounted, and I slowly fell into Undercity, flagged and completely vulnerable. Laughs were had as it was all just a good time! We ran around after our bout with the headless rider through hidden passage ways to put out the Horde's wickerman without getting killed, though she's the only real pansy between us (she still tries her hardest in pvp, gotta love her). Hallow's End gives a great opportunity to enjoy some world pvp, which is another reason why it's my favorite holiday! Speaking of pvp, a few Horde came to Goldshire and were completely duking it out with the Alliance, presumably to disrupt putting out the fires and/or have some fun, which worked, /shake fist. My sister, myself, and a couple friends had a blast defending, and wish the opportunity would come up more often. My sister and I also went to all of Azeroth and trick-or-treated together one year. We flew to each place and decided where to go to next. Getting tricked is just as fun as being treated because of the different forms we took. It's interesting to see how many different forms one can be tricked into. We always hoped we wouldn't get tricked because we needed masks for the achievement, and if I recall correctly you could trick or treat every hour and you couldn't buy masks that year, so we cheered each other on to get the masks. Even though you can only trick or treat once at one place now, and you can buy masks, I'm still happy with the holiday because they added more masks this year! My sister and I especially enjoyed putting out the fires in Goldshire that year too, though it took us many a try to put them out since we were on a low populated server. We formulated the best way to put them out, click and carry the buckets there or toss them to each other? We decided to work together and we finally put out the fires! Also, going into Scarlet Monastery really brings back memories of leveling and the graveyard is the perfect place for such a fight! And the work put into the rhymes and voicing really illuminates the Headless Horseman's character. I don't remember why, but once my sister and I had to duo the fight. She was on her moonkin and I was on my hunter, our mains, and we fought our hardest, it's wasn't easy at first, but then my sister got into the routine of healing my pet, and I don't remember why we were in there all alone (I think the other's died because the healer was being an idiot or something, oh I remember, it was the year everyone dc'd if they touched the pumpkin the wrong way, such a picky pumpkin! Wait, is that a pun? xD), but we felt really great being able to defeat him just by ourselves.Hallow's End is really fun because of the quests each year. This year was really great because of the quest chain to find and return a crate of mysterious goods. Of course my sister and I were doing that together and we really enjoyed the part where you follow the spiders back to the auction house. The entire time we were riding on the ground instead of flying, just taking our time, and commenting "Just follow the spiders, he says," chuckling at the blatant Harry Potter reference. Flying around the opposite faction's city and dropping smoke bombs is also a lot of fun. I took great joy in landing one right on another player!Hallow's End is also my favorite because of the different costumes you can put on people. I love just running around and putting random costumes on people. My sister and I, again, fooled around with them to get a great screenshot together. We both had the pirate costumes on along had the orange glow buff from tricky treats and took the screenshot after successfully putting out fires. It's also a whole lot of fun being a bat, firing at Majordomo Staghelm and rockin' out over his dead body afterwards!Overall I think Hallow's End is my favorite because it gives players a lot of fun activities to do. From dressing up, saving town's from a conflagration, smoke bombing opposing faction cities, following spiders in quests, to defeating the Headless Horseman and riding on his mount! It's also very special to me because I can spend time with my best friend and sister, creating memories to smile upon for years to come.http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h67/Shadowroth/KavandIpirates.jpgHere's the screenshot I got with me and my sister, I'm not sure if I can post it since says "link removed" under my preview. If not I'll just delete it off my post in a later edit, if I can do that too. (Yeah, can't post a link yet because I'm a newly registered account, though I've been on Wowhead for a while, could I get help with this?)I hope this wasn't too long to read and that you enjoyed it!
Ima have to go with Winter Veil because you get to drink, receive gifts, and i like wearing my winter garb everywhere... especially in bgs.
My favorite holiday has to be hallow's end because my favorite mount is the headless horsemens mount and i finally got it this year on my main! :D
Hallows End. I can use my Broom mount, and the decorations around the towns are just rad!
I love the Midsummer Festival event. If not for the free xp, then for the great things you can do during the event. I love torch juggling :x
Winter veil. I have so many memories from christmas on wow. the last christmas, me and my friend sat next to the christmas tree in orgrimmar, and talked some about how cool the christmas is. then after a few minutes, some random people joined the chat and we had a really good time, and we created presents for each other. and while talking, i realised that wow has been a big part of my grow up, and that i would never quit wow untill blizzard stop made new patches/expansions. it doesnt matter if the changes is good or bad, a game need changes to survive. many people complain about the changes, and many think mists of pandaria will "kill" wow, but hey have these people made a game and kept it alive for over 6 years ? no. and i think blizzard have a few more years to bless wow with. but sooner or later people have to realize that "no game rules forever, my son". but that day i will go back to all the places, Outland, northrend, kalimdor / eastern kingdom. i will go back and remember what wow have been. and one more thing. i will save ALL of my screenshots. thats my way to remember every special moment in wow. ps: think i got little off topic =)
Midsummer Festival. I enjoy that the Midsummer Festival has some wonderful activities which coincide with the Midsummer Solstice. The fact that there is a maypole which you can whirl and dance around is amazing. The bonfires and the other symbolic festivities are entertaining and enjoyable to partake in.
My favorite holiday in wow has to be Midsummer fire festival, not only is it fun to burn out your enemies fires but the combination of getting your own and burning them get you about 2k gold for the achievement. The other fun part is the frost boss giving you snow balls to annoy your friends as well as an awesome scythe. Plus who doesnt love getting needlessly angry at the torch throwing mini game daily quest I know I do. XP
