I would have to say my faorite holiday is Hallow's End. It just has that quality about it that brings me back to my childhood when it was fun to dress up and pretend to be someone you aren't. That and getting candy! Oh, and the Horseman's mount is way cooler than the Brewfest ones!
The Feast of Winter Veil is my fondest holiday. I met my fiancee during the first Winter Veil in 2004 and a few months later she got an account. We're very casual players, especially when we were both in college, but this holiday always reminds me of when we first met. Some years, when she's visiting her family in another state for winter break, we'll log in and hang out during Winter Veil and it's like being together for our anniversary.

Mine has to be Hallow's End. I'm a retired raider; I haven't raided since ICC, and to be honest I was never that good at it anyway. I was never top DPS, never top healing done, just didn't have the knack for it I guess. I'm also not very good at PVP - I take it too personally and I'm the one that seems to die every 20 seconds in a BG because I'm running around like a fart in a storm trying to figure out what I'm meant to be doing. There's plenty of stuff in the game I'm not good at, but when it comes to dropping stinkbombs on Stormwind City...lock up your everything. My aim is beyond deadly - AFK? You WILL be bombed. Minding your own business outside the AH? Bombed. Moving targets? No problem. For two weeks a year, I get to be the most hated and feared person in Azeroth, and I get to be top of my game for a change!
Hallows End by far. I've done the Hallows End event every year, and I've always loved the lore when dealing with the Headless Horseman. Granted the majority of the time im spending waiting from day to day to get the helm of the headless horseman lol..
Personally, I'm fond of the Lunar Festival. As is the case for so many, it was the first in-game holiday I had the pleasure of experiencing, and can probably never be topped. Fireworks! Lucky rockets! Festive clothing! Teleports to zones I'd never seen! And there were Tauren, and Undead, and Trolls; oh my! I always am a sucker for the "can't we all just get along?" holidays. I remember as a 20-ish noob pally seeing Moonglade for the first time, and wondering what on Azeroth this "Omen" deal was that I kept seeing LFM requests for in general. I also recall foolishly thinking this new zone would be a great launching point to explore more zones. And then I remember encountering Timbermaw Hold for the first time, as they killed me- repeatedly- when I tried to run through their tunnel! There was so much excitement in the novelty of the holiday, in the new experiences- both good and bad, but always entertaining- that the wonder could never be replicated. Good times...
My favorite WoW holiday has got to be Hallow's End! I love all the lore involved, including the Wickerman and the fact that the Undead get to shine. It's a nice way to see bits of Azeroth that you haven't seen in a while and you get to trick or treat without anyone telling you that you're too old. Twenty-three isn't too old to trick or treat, is it? The sinister squashling has to be one of my favorite pets, because he is both sinister and a small squash. I also happen to be possessed by the spirit of Ichabod Crane, so it strikes a certain chord inside me to pwn the headless horseman over and over again to ultimately steal his mount. At any rate, seeing the cities decorated with pumpkins and eating tons of candy without getting fat makes Hallow's End one of the best times to be a WoW player!
Brewfest for the drunkenness, blurry screens, and barfing...hic!
What is your favorite holiday in World of Warcraft and why?New Year's Fireworks in Booty Bay has become tradition to me. When server is really quiet.. I go to the "balcony" where Baron Revilgaz stands, and walk to the end of the wooden log and just sit there. Then I wait for the fireworks by midnight, really peaceful :)Just my way of starting new year.
Gonna have to go with children's week.......just something about it makes me all fuzzy inside :)
