Children's week I mean really, who doesnt want to take a little kid while slicing down enemies in arenas, and downing raid bosses, scaring them for life? It is just the PERFECT holiday.
Hi there!I would have to say that my favorite holiday event is "Love is in the Air". This event must be one of the funniest and most ludicrous holidays in the entire World of Warcraft. New found romanticism is mixed with the devious and dire schemes of members from the Crown Chemical Company. Not only do players get to partake in some serious lovin's with the various races and factions of World of Warcraft, they can give and receive lovely gifts from Garrosh Hellscream and Varian Wrynn, too! Also, who could ever forget that players get a chance at the utterly awesome yet ridiculous and rather luscious Big Love Rocket? All in all, "Love is in the Air" is an extremely humorous holiday that embodies all of the real world's Valentine's Day stereotypes and oddities. Thanks for the fun!- Zulvaditaj* One last thing... This event offers one of the best companion "pets" in game. Peddlefeet - the scaly, green, and winged goblin dressed only in his over-sized diaper - must be one of the most amusing companions in game.
Children's Week is my favorite holiday and always brings up pleasant memories for me. It was the first in-game holiday I experienced, and I still remember racing to reach level ten to prove to the orcish orphan matron I was responsible enough to handle a ward of my own. After exploring the world with young Grunth (and being eaten by the raptors in the Barrens several times), I grew attached to him and regretted having to give him up. I still treasure Speedy, his gift to me and my first ever non-combat pet. Speedy became the pet of choice on my main, and still accompanies me to this day. Great quests, great rewards, great holiday!
Hia just joined..... wowhead, i've been a fan of the site for awile use it for all my WoW info lol.. but never actualy joined and became apart of it till now =]My Favorite Holiday will always be brew fest! i love the concept and the dire brew fight, when i first joined WoW having all the dark iron dwarves attacking you and giving you a run for your money, i remmeber running dire brew boss for hours and hours trying to get the mount... Though i've never actualy been lucky lol.. Never in my life won a holiday mount.. but that doesnt stop me from trying >.< im just a mount person, if there is a mount involved i love it :P
My favorite holiday is Hallows End. I love Halloween, I love dressing up, I love decorating the house-- love seeing what different costumes the kids have on. Being able to fly on my broom in game makes up for not being able to do that IRL. And who says you can't have too much candy?
I would say my favourite holiday is Noblegarden, 1) anything chocolate related is ftw :P 2) cause me and my lil girl this year sat there and looked for eggs together (which she gladly pointed them out) and she also screamed with delight and shouts bunny when u get transformed into one, then starts going 'boing' around the room. Something im looking forward to repeating again 2013, cant next yr as due my next baby in early april 2012 :)
Yarrrrrr! Me favorite holiday be Pirates' Day! I be likin dem dere pirates dem yaw. I like pillagin' villages 'n villagin' pillagers. I like treasure huntin' 'n skull flags and peglegs. I put grub in me gullet, fresh sea crabs fer breakfast. I put grub in me gullet, fresh sea crabs fer midday meal. But never fer dinner, that would be disgustin'. Sometimes, when I be all alone, I like to draw treasure maps to places that do not exist. 'tis gives me great joy 'n happiness. It brin's a smile to me ugly scurvy pirate face. Oh, did I mention i have a tattered eye patch? 'tis made 'o balogna.
Hallow's End. Simply because of the awesome cat with a hat - and broomstick! Also the Creepy Crate is pretty cool as well! Oh yea.. And candy
Winter Veil. It's Christmas time after all! Always lowed it - christmas tree, gifts, some hot drinks, some nice music (Frank Sinatra - Let it snow <3) and ofc smashing snowballs :) The best holiday IRL and the best in WoW - also it's well reflected there.
My favorite holiday is the Midsummer Fire Festival. As alliance, I had been questing a great deal in Darkshore, and came upon the festival outpost there by the water. Since I WowHead (yes, that is a verb, kind of like "Google") everything that I come across in the game that requires further inquiry, I found out all that I needed to do to celebrate this holiday! As a new WoW player, I had only a week or so prior to this learned that Stormwind existed (I was also a Dranei that had taken oh, about an hour, to find my way out of the Exodar). Therefore, honoring and desecrating the fires gave me a great opportunity to explore Azerorth. I was only about level 20, and this was when you had to visit a Flightmaster in order to learn that flight path, so there were not many places that I could visit at my level. Still, I ran as far as my hooved (sp?) legs could take me (I couldn't afford to learn riding/buy a mount yet), trying to honor and desecrate what I could. I remember trying to desecrate the fire at the Sun Rock Retreat in Stone Talon Mountains, and ever so carefully trying to creep up to the fire without garnering the attention of the NPCs or any players. I also found dancing at the ribbon pole to be a great deal of fun. Although the bonus you get from dancing at it was awesome, just as enjoyable was twirling around in circles, catching flame, and listening to the melody it plays when you spin. I would sit there for quite a while doing just that (while my pet patiently waited nearby). I was also able to obtain one of my favorite holiday items, the Brazier of Dancing Flames during this holiday. I can't remember if I collected enough that holiday to buy it or obtained it the next year, but I thoroughly enjoyed pulling this out when waiting to meet up with my guildies to quest (and later, to complete a dungeon). Since their "BRB" often turned into 20 minutes of just sitting there, it helped to keep us prompt people entertained.Unfortunately, I missed the holiday this year due to a family medical emergency, but I look forward to hopefully being able to celebrate it next year! And thanks so much for this contest!
My favorite WoW Holiday would have to be Brewfest. Its gotta be Brewfest because you can do many things, from getting drunk, to racing rams, and killing Coren Direbrew.
brewfest ! because I looted my 118th and 119th mounts in the last one :D hehehe
Hallow's End has to be the best, by far!I mean, how often do you get to go mess with the other faction and not get flagged/ganked/etc. for doing so? I keep a stash of Weighted Jack-o-Lanterns on hand all year long just so that every character I play is ready in case I happen to see a member of the one race I'm missing from the achievement! I got into G.N.E.R.D.S. withdrawl and save my bobbing apples and wands for emergencies, like impromptu pirate dance parties or fast-paced, ninja-themed raids!Aside from watching Sylvanas address the citizens of Undercity at the Wickerman ceremony (sexy undead elf, for the win), the best part simply HAS to be competing with my friends each year to see who gets the best loot off the Headless Horseman. Last year, I ran so many times that I nearly have his entire dialog committed to memory! I'm also the only one of the 8 different people competing in our little game to get the Horseman's mount, so I won. This year, I'm still going for the gold- er... purple, just not the big, black horse. Unless Blizzard allows me to get a second and make my own felsteed-drawn chariot, that is...?Hint-hint, Blizzard. The lore, the fun-filled spirit of the event, the chance to see my entire guild throwing up halfway through a dungeon from an overdose of sugary sweets, and the fact that I don't have to spend hours putting on make-up to look like a zombie are just GREAT! As I type this, my paladin is projectile-vomitting after I fed him FAR too many Tricky Treats for the fifth time today. I think he needs to take a break until the Holiday's over. He's earned it after the 12-hour candy binge. Every year, I have made it online just for Brewfest and Hallow's End. But Brewfest doesn't give you a reason to play pranks of folks. Halloween's cool because I can bloody myself up, lay on the lawn, and scare children begging for candy but Hallow's End beats even THAT!In summary, Hallow's End is my FAVORITE holiday in World of Warcraft, bar none! :D
