Wow, I have to pick just one? Well, lets see, we are a WoW loving family, and I met my husband through WoW, my first toon was named after my daughter who I was pregnant with at the time, and I went into labor(my water broke) while playing WoW and I finished the quest I was doing before going to the hospital! So we're pretty hardcore, and we've seen the holidays change and improve for better or for worse. I really hate picking just one! I really do love them all. I also love the improvements to Hallow's End that Blizz has done, way to go on that! Love is in the Air is really awesome, and Winter Veil is just smashin! Hallow's End rocks but if I had to choose only one, and it's beyond difficult to do, because I'm an RP junkie, who loves like LOVES the Lunar Festival, I would have to choose Brewfest! and not for why you think! It has nothing to do with the booze, and everything to do with it reminding me of my husband, the cute little Dwarf Tankadin I fell in love with! I even reclassed my shammy to be a dwarf, yes I love him that much! So Brewfest is tops in my book! Thanks for a chance at this awesome contest!~Verdandi~
Halloween being my favorite real-world holiday, Hallow's Eve is my favorite one in-game. The content is all enjoyable, the Headless Horseman's voice-acting is top notch, and the addition of even more daily quests and a proper questline for the event has made it even better.
My favorite holiday is the Harvest Festival, Cause I am a fan of lore within the game and its good to seem them commemorate the ones who sacrificed themselves for others
Hallow's End, definitely. Not only was it the /first/ World Event I experienced when I joined, but it is also my favorite real holiday. There is just something cool about all the costumes and the constant fight against the Horseman. Really makes you feel involved.
My favorite is the Feast of Winter Veil, though I love Hallow's End.For me it's personal. Before my dad left on his second of three tours in Vietnam, we became Jehovah's Witnesses. As such, we didn't celebrate any holidays. Since I am now old and jaded, I think it was because he was cheap and needed drinking money during the holidays. =P But it was a shock to six year old to suddenly not have a christmas tree or presents. Watching the kids in the neighborhood with their new toys really hurt.I don't believe in any religion now, but when I run around Ironforge during Winter Veil with the lights strung out, people running around in suits, and I see the presents under the tree, I go back in time and become six years old again.
I believe Hallows End to be the be all end all of all the holidays. Where else can you dress up like the undead and then drop stink bombs on their sorry heads! Besides that Headless Horseman still has my mount and I WANT IT! Oh and don't forget turning your main tank into a bat when he is on 2 for pulling Baleroc. *insert grin here*
I gotta go with Hallow's End. I loved dressing up and carving pumpkins as a lad and seeing it in the game world is fantastic. The pumpkins everywhere, the headless horseman showing up to torch towns and cause mayhem, it's great. I'll also never forget back before the dungeon finder when the event bosses had to be called out and fought in their respective dungeons. I had horde and alliance characters at the time but I have to say I had the most fun on the Alliance, which is the only time I can say that! Flying in to eastern plaguelands and making the long trek on the ground mount to scarlet monastery, always with your party for safety in numbers, you really felt like you were invading the Horde's territory. Then getting there only to find out that the Horde, who had a much easier trip from Undercity, were standing outside of the entrance in great numbers just waiting for the change to put down the invading alliance dogs. Sometimes you made it in, sometimes vicious battles erupted, sometimes it resulted in corpse runs and creative and frantic resurrection choices, but it was always great fun.
I enjoy Brewfest the most out of any WoW holiday. All of the drinking and people congregating some "other" place then Org makes for a really nice change of scenery, even if only for a little while.
My favorite is Hallows End.Love the horseman, the havoc he wreaks, and the fact that everything is involved.I think the fires are a cool way of doing things, although it can be tricky sometimes. The "Trick" lol. I think the best one is the worm one. :)There is only one thing that would make it better, and that's if they did level specific horseman instances so lower levels have a chance at getting the achievement (and the mount) as well.
