Big surprise there. It was a foregone conclusion that Blizz wouldn't want the anniversary buff active during SL's launch. But at least they can fix stuff like that quickly! Now if only they could do the same with everything that's actually broken.
Is there anything special for this years anniversary?
Having the 16% exp buff in SL won't even @#$%ing matter, because you still have to do the whole campaign quest chain at least once!Sure maybe you could skip like 10 side quests, but it would really only benefit alts...
but why?
Rep buffs eclipse.. Impressive influence 100% + WQ bonus 50% + Anniversary 16% + DMF 10%
This is very unfortunate, in my country if someone celebrates their birthday on a different day due to work or life commitments we exile them.
Great call Blizzard!
Yeah, I've leveled some Alliance characters recently (I main Horde but have a lot of Alliance alts) and War Mode remains a mostly free boost. People typically leave you alone because they are leveling as well, and if you happen to come across a jerk or two you can always turn it off for a bit. It was like that before, too, but the boost from War Mode actually matters now that it is not just tossed on top of 160% of other experience buffs.Either way, it is somewhat weird that the anniversary is before the anniversary but it does make sense considering the expansion launch and I don't know what people would have rather they done. The experience gain isn't going to be a huge deal for your first 50-60 anyway, from what I understand.
No anniversary XP/rep buff, but there will be a 10% reputation buff for the first week with The Spirit of Sharing from Pilgrim's Bounty tables.
I'm not sure what people are complaining... with WM on you can hit 60 in less than 7 hours easily if you are a slacker and if you are a trihard you can probably do it in 5-6 hours. Also while it's true that leveling is very linear, the leveling is actually fairly fun to do, so I doubt that anyone will die of boredom doing it.
There is a great time to be leveling at 10:00 am Sunday morning though (for EU) DMF: 10%Anniversary: 16%WM: 10% (25% alliance) Draught of Ten Lands: 10%So if you're thinking of leveling anything now before Shadowlands, this is the time from 1st to the 7th November.
