O_O If this is true, then I can't !@#$ing wait
As long as they move away from the Humies vs Orcses , and actually start telling and developing amazing stories.
The actual rumors are that they're working on a reboot, not a sequel. They're eying Chris Pratt for a lead human role and Peter Jackson as the director.Per the article below:
the movie should all be CGI even the human
Oh, another movie catered to the Chinese audience, just like Mulan. This isn't going to end well.
I would absolutely love to have the 2nd and 3rd movie <3
What are the chances he was paid to tweet this to stir up hype, especially considering SL prepatch is possibly next week?
If there will be a movie i hope they include more races, first film would have had less criticism if it had featured female dwarfs in it.
I wish we get a nice series instead. Wouldn't even mind them to be animated like in-game cinematics. But if Warcraft 2 is happening, I'm glad.
I actually like the Wacraft movie. I do. And I want sequels. BUT, have you seen what Duncan Jones wanted to do for another two movies? It's.. not exciting. It won't generate audiences that's for sure. I am on board with just jumping right to Arthas for now, then going back to the Second War when needed.Although if that Chris Pratt rumor is true, I hope they don't cast him as Arthas or I might die inside. I can see him as Uther.. maybe.. but he wouldn't last very long.
For once, I have to thank our Chinese Overlords.
I loved the movie, but was so disappointed that it ended up being nothing more than a two-hour sum-up of what, in the lore, spans accross several years. The film was too fast-paced, I've been an avid player since 1994, read all manuals and most novels, and the film was still kinda hard to follow... go figure someone who knows nothing about the lore or the game(s) as a whole.I'd have loved it so much more if the screenplay were based out of the stories behind The Last Guardian by Jeff Grubb and Rise of the Horde by Christie Golden, set in the same period (the First War), and totally awesome fantasy books in their own right. More characterization, greater depth... instead of the hodgepodge that Warcraft: The Beginning ended up being. For the second movie, the book Day of the Dragon by Richard Knaak would be a great pick imho. As a Warcraft fan I don't need to see on screen what I played through in the original game campaigns, I mean you could watch playthroughs on Youtube for that. I want to have a closer look at the greatest thing the World of Warcraft games brought to the franchise: the world itself.I agree that, for a wider-perspective recount, a TV series would be more suitable to deal with so much battles and war events in a proper fashion.
Ah, but only imagine if we could have Nobbel part of that team making the movie. Wishful thinking, yes, but I adore that man!
I honestly belive that it is safer to do a TV series than a movie. Not only you do a service to your game and each week remind people that "Hey, we have an RPG called Wacraft 3 Reforged"(please dont start with how much of a disaster it is , I know it and everyone knows it at this point) and if you want we also have an MMORPG aswell if you want to give it a try,I think its better to cover it as a season for each book or chapter. It is safer that way.
