Nobody cared when Sylvanas invaded Gilneas, slaughtering innocents, defiling the land with the plague, enslaving the population. Displacing all Gilneans, for no good reason other than that tiny kingdom down there bothering her.Yet suddenly everyone cries outrage when she does the same to the Nightelves. Seriously!I don't understand why so many say they suddenly can't follow her anymore. Sylvanas never cared about the living and we all (should) know that! If this is where you draw the line, you should've been upset eight years ago...
To be fair.. it was just 1 Orc, 1 Undead, 1 Banshee/High Elf, and 1 Night Elf at the shoreline... no Tauren, Trolls, Goblins, Blood Elves, Highmountain Tauren, Nightborne, Pandaren present.. for horde side. I wonder if Thalyssra and her Nightborne would have still joined the horde had they known this would happen, even with the cold reception from Tyrande.
It's world of warcraft not world of happycraft! So morally grey or not.
Also, perhaps the reason the rest of the Horde isn't rebelling is because even if they do win against Sylvanas' loyalists, that will just leave them open to be conquered by The Alliance in their weakened state (not to mention they still are not done healing from the previous Horde Civil War), which could lead to the repeat of the Internment Camps or worse. Its fear that makes The Horde continue on serving Sylvanas. And I just realized that's the morally grey choice, do you continue supporting an immoral leader in the hopes of taking them down once the war is over, or do you rebel, risk everything, and even if you succeed, you have another enemy (The Alliance) who will swoop down on your weakened faction and cage you like animals?
Looking on the bright side we may get a shiny new hi-resolution Nelf capital in a couple of years. Cheer up everyone!
The waiting is what kills the story. After Wrathgate Varian rushes to invade Undercity. Now? We have to wait a whole week for Anduin to do anything (we know it's gonna be gud.. ) This waiting makes him look like a weakling :<
well this entire thing doesnt make sense...first she orders the burning...second after in dialogue she says she didnt forsee this outcome...wtf blizzard?saurfang cant kill malf cuz of dishonorable blow...lets sylvanas burn entire city full of innocents nice lazy ass writing blizzard :D next time they should at least think about what they doing
I just completed the bunch of quests on my human main, I would not call that a quest-line.Nope, still do not feel it, not hyped at all, still believe that is the dumbest outset for an expansion ever. And as usual, not much of a story going on in game.I only wonder if Tauren left the Horde.
Eh. This is still the first chapter of things. I think this is a little too cut and dry to be the entire story. We probably won't see the entire point of this until post 8.1 and get the rest of the story later on.She is trying to destroy hope. Do we really know yet why she wants to destroy hope?Arthas was created by Ner'zhul and the legion to wipe out life so that the legion could take the planet more easily. Obviously, both the undead and the legion failed. Sylv isn't trying to kill to stop the legion, she has another purpose for it and we've yet to discover what.Even Christie Golden on Twitter is hitting back against the tweets she's likely getting, saying "The xpac hasn't even started yet".Patience, y'all :P
Saurfang for Warchief.
I'm glad we have a choice between a good and evil side. I like playing as villains, but both sides have had evil times.
