Remember the 8-bit video with a 10/5 ? Now is your chance.
I found that a Control based Oil Rogue works wonders. And also weapon heavy classes like warriors.... >.> It's I think the only type of deck I constantly lose to. I have had substantial success with this deck, since I already play Oil Rogue in Ranked: The key to this deck is to use your oils and resources to great effect, but don't be stingy with them either. Attack on turn 2 if you dagger up! There's chances you might not want to play anything else the following few turns. Your safest bet is to keep the card draw mechanics and as well as the removal spells, as most players in this Tavern Brawl are Druids and Mages. The 6 cards that are vital to your survival are: 2 x , 2 x and 2 x which will buy you more time and use up the opponent's entire turn as they play 1 card, you play more. particularly can get you out of very tight situations, by destroying the opponent's huge minions. If you do not have , then any game winning Legendary or Giant or works. Giant decks would be bonkers! Have yet to find one that works though. As for well.... Turn 8 or exactly 7 (with the coin) - + should do it :)I hope this deck helps a bit. It's still a bit... unfinished as I don't really have my second :/ but if you find better substitutions, I'd be happy to hear.
So another Pay2Win Brawl? No thanks, I skip.
Hey, Blizzard, i'm impressed. Why wasn't that "You Must Be This Legendary to Brawl" or simply "You Must Be This Donating to Brawl"?
Mindgames is a fun card in this brawl. It got me a Ragnaros on turn 4 and my opponent had nothing to play against it. Sad day. Also Mindgames, followed by a Resurrect is really good as well.
I dunno, I just felt dirty playing an extreme ramp druid (I don't have , so I relied on , , and ; got to where I could play minions several turns before my opponent). I had a in my opening hand which I expected to get to play early, but my opponent never had a chance to do much damage to me, so it ended up being useless.Got the card pack, but felt bad enough about how lopsided the game was that I doubt I'll play this brawl again.
So far I've found that the actual minions you put in the deck is basically irrelevant, what wins you the game is the control spells, which are mostly common or basic.I find Rogue to be the most effective, since they combine weapons with HORRIBLE things like Sap. Trust me, it doesn't matter how many giants you play when your opponent just Vanishes.
Succes whith rogue...:)
I've had a ton of fun so far with malygos shaman. The deck runs mostly spells anyway
Whenever there's a brawl like this where new players (with less cards) may be at a disadvantage I recommend to keep trying! Eventually you should find yourself against an equally matched opponent and be able to secure yourself a win.In addition, some players who you would otherwise not win against may concede if you manage to hold your own long enough.Good cards for this brawl include weapons (as cannot be used for removal), damaging spells, mana granting spells (eg. ) and cards that summon minions (eg. or ). Cards that increase these minion's power (such as ) can also be used.If anyone is interested this is the deck I used:This deck consists of only common cards from the Classic set and basic cards. It's definitely nowhere near the best out there but I feel it's a good starting point for those who wish for card ideas for this brawl.I don't have a large collection of cards myself and had a quest for druid wins and found that fortunately this was enough to defeat my opponent.
Its funny, how the simplest decks excel in this brawl. I got a last minute and did it with 5-2.After my first encounter with a Priest i also added , but never met a Priest again. Getting this killed as a warrior should also be pretty straightforward.
