Why can't they with all the high tech advanced magic they have find a way to restore sylvanas back to a high elf ya know find a ways to bring her soul back from the shadowlands.
What if Sylvanus' plan is getting the Alliance and Horde to realize the necessity of working together by giving us both a villain (herself) that we can unite against before N'Zoth rises, and allowing the Alliance to see just how many in the Horde want peace (not assimilation, mind you...) with our blue counterparts...? At least peace enough to live free and not be constantly at war over...semantics and old grudges and miscommunications and land grabs and...This would allow Alliance players/characters who are entrenched in their factional hatred for reasons both logical and not to see that not every Horde member is a ravening, bestial murdermuppet who likes to wear human skin and eat Gnomes... It would allow Sylvanus loyalists to feel secure in their support of the Banshee Queen when her scheming comes to light..."Yeah...she's full on evil now, but it was a sacrifice she made of herself, to ensure the survival of the Horde!"And it would allow those of us who are disgusted by her actions and the part we are being forced to play in them - and that we are being forced to choose between our loyalty to a Warchief we swore to support (a Warchief who is committing monstrous evils in our names...) and our loyalty to the ideals that went into the founding of the Horde under Thrall, Cairne and Vol'Jin way back when (the Horde is a place for outcasts and the forgotten and the despised to come together and be stronger than we are alone, better than the bigoted beliefs about us, greater than our base or broken origins) - to feel secure in turning on the Warchief because of our love for the Horde.
could have sworn wowhead had already done an article on this...
I'd be interested in seeing where this goes. It would be cool if we see her plan as something like, make deal with N'zoth to weaken it's prison and kill the unneeded Azshara. In exchange he provides the means, and prescience to defeat the alliance at any cost. Of course, it would also be interesting if she also had to stop Alleria from killing N'zoth and becoming too powerful as was hinted at.
Time and time again people are underestimating the Banshee Queen. She's a maverick unlike any other faction leader in the Horde or the Alliance, willing to take that extra step to achieve her goals. She's ENORMOUSLY selfish, and will NOT share power with another or answer to another. The Void Lords or N'zoth may believe they're manipulating her, but in all likelihood she's manipulating them.Perhaps she believes that Azeroth herself is doomed, and wants to raise/merge with/become the Titan worldsoul- stronger and more resillent to Void corruption than before. Perhaps this entire war and her seeming follies are part of a Xanatos Gambit to save the planet- she drives the living together to stand united as one, while the undead become the bulwark against the void. Sylvanas then leads the planet's forces as either the speaker/director of a Titan or a Titan herself, ensuring prosperity and security for herself and all the people of Azeroth.
What if N'Zoth's fight goes the same way as LK fight in WotLK? We get the Old God to 1%, he says, "LOL I corrupted Deathwing and you expected NOT to become my puppets?", mind-controls the entire raid, but then Sylvanas casually walks in, all immune to his influence, stabs N'Zoth with Xal'Atath like Tirion struck down LK with Ashbringer, and we win?
Wow, what a twist! Bravo, Golden!
Did anyone else read "Endgame spoilers!" and think "I don't want to ruin the movie" and clicked back?
I think one facet of the "Sylvanas problem," honestly, is what it has meant for our characters in the game. Looking back:In Warlords, our characters were the leaders of the respective faction effort on Draenor. In Legion, they rose to be the high leader of the class they represented. And now, in Battle, they are......apparently puppets dancing at the ends of the tangled strings held by Sylvanas. That's a pretty unsatisfying demotion to me. It feels like it's going to be really hard to draw the story for this expansion to a conclusion that will feel satisfying—not in the least because there is so much information that's being withheld from us as players. Sure, we can't expect to know everything, and sometimes it feels good to be surprised by things, but in this case, it feels (at least while we're in it) like bombastic, ham-handed, lazy writing instead of a clever story sweeping me along. From where we're at, the view looks like Sylvanas is going to turn out to be one of two things:
I do not know, your theories have been failing for a while.I do not think anyone yet knows how Sylvanas would end up. Only Ion and the accounting guy.
The only way this writing makes sense is if they're adding a playable third faction to the game.
If she tries to become the new God of death, I hope my beloved Bwonsamdi isn’t killed off/made to serve her... T.T
Never really been a fan of characters that are seemingly all knowing by predicting just about everything that's going to happen.. Sylvannas is starting to become such a character, if she magically predicted that Azshara would turn into tentacle Moses and part the seas. Even if it's a case of "mysterious being whispered in her ear" and not a prediction.. it doesn't sit right with me.
