let's just hope it's somewhere around mid to late December. they shouldn't publish a date, they should fix the game as good as possible, that's the most important thing.
I just really hope that it will release either a few weeks before christmas which i doubt or 1 weeks after, cause i really want to have some free time during the xpac launch and i hope they will be able to fix all the systems (or atleast be close) and flesh out the maw
The fact that they have delayed it to sort things out, would indifacate they need several weeks to get this sorted and would lean towards a December release. It won't be 2021 as they would get shafted by the European laws as they have promised to release it in 2020.I could see them delay the raids opening till the new year and personally I am happy for them to take as much as they need.Anyway Cyberpunk is out in November (hopefuly) so that should fill the void.
No one wants into the launch window of Cyberpunk so its getting December :)
Well my guess is release in DEC.All those posts about 2021 are just wishfull thinking. I'm pretty sure that Blizz will not go against promised date "2020", it is not only about accepting refunds or not, I am not a laywer, but I'm sure there are civil laws regarding interest of contract date not being kept. As we did sign "contract" as consumer and seller by already paying for a contracted product, then we should be able to ask not only full investment refund, but also 9-12% interest and I doubt that Blizz would like to take a such risk.
They want to Sh*t on everyone who bought a next gen console. They figured why release now and then have everyone get bored in a week or two and then play xbox or ps5? Nah not gonna happen let's delay it and ruin it for everyone.
I really didn't care when the release was gonna be. but God damn it, don't say it's one date, then change your mind. People have plans, possible time off, etc. Now I don't even like playing anymore.
Really dont care about why and when. Dates and speculations.Happiest saddest news that i heard lately and Best. F. decision. that. they. could. make.I got to the point where i simply didnt care any more about what's going on on Beta/PTR as it was obvious that SL launch would be another shiStorm and another 2 years of BfA all together, therefore preparing my "alternative options" if SL fails bigtime so i could wait for .1 patch and balance pass.Good call, really. Well played Blizz. Now just to reschedule my time off.
The most infuriating thing (in addition to the work time off i took) is that for people who bought 6 months of game time in good faith that the game would release in october, there will be like 2 lost months if it releases in december or something. Blizzard can't refund my work time off, but least they could do was credit the extra wasted game time... (if only for people who bought game time before the launch date was moved and whose game time would have lasted into the old launch)
There is so much to fix about it,the pre patch even was broken, the ptr still not good at all and the beta has a lot of bugs and some quest that can't be complete. Let's be honest the game need few months to be polished. I think 20 December could be a nice date and they have time to polish the game. Then we begin the new year with a raid and after the blizzcon to show what will come after in Shadowlands.
im going to call it: release will be january 5th.hate me if u want, but i already called that 2020 is too early as soon as they announced a 2020 release and i also said they gonna delay it the moment they announced october 27th as release.ive played every single beta and this beta feels like any other beta 3 to 4 months before launch. not 4 to 6 weeks.blizz wouldnt have delayed if they would be just 2 to 4 weeks behind scedule. activision wouldnt have let that happen. and a release in december wont happen due to the holidays in which blizz themselves dont work. they said that several times in the past. they wont release a raid in the beginning of december if the season start and mythic raiding starts in the holidays week since they wont be able to hotfix and balance stuff as they always do 1 week after raid opening
I seriously doubt Thanksgiving, Bliz completely avoids holiday weekends to cut back on support staff. And late December is similarly bad for Bliz. So I'd guess to early December (probably the 8th) which lands the xpac "in" the year and well before Christmas.
Just set the Beta to open already Blizz
I would think they would want to get it done before Thanksgiving
Too hard to speculate at this point, I'm just going to assume november 24th when being optimistic, or in the worst case somewhere in december. Tbh I'd rather see them delay the expansion as long as needed to make sure we're going into Shadowlands without any issues.
This is by far the absolute worst take on this topic. They have absolutely zero care about what happens with plebeian consoles.. LMFAO
I still stick by my original date, Nov 24th. Sure the week of Thanksgiving is probably not right, but its just been in my mind since we got the trailer last Blizzcon
I honestly feel like late november is what they're going for with this, but only time will tell
