Terrible writing.
https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/17623933641I can already tell which way this is going. So, rather than moan, I propose a fix.In the novel Wolfheart, there are three fanatical watchers who collaborate to commit genocide against the night elves. Their names are Ja'ara, Tas'ira and Neva. The latter two die over the course of the book. So, my proposal is this; Ja'ara approaches Sylvanas and asks her to raise Tas'ira and Neva as Dark Ranger and Dark Warden respectively. This makes sense from a character standpoint; corruption appears not to affect Elune's judgement of a person's character, unlike other forces. She's shown consistently to be able to redeem the seemingly irredeemable. In addition, the Night Warrior has long been thought by the community to be connected to the Watchers and the Night Warrior redeems fallen warriors by setting them as stars against the heavens.By this account, Tas'ira and Neva would probably not object to being raised as undead to fight Tyrande and Malfurion, the worgen and the Highborne all over again. They would think they are fighting as the true chosen of the Night Warrior and they will soon shed their undead forms to be with Elune anyway. It doesn't stray that far from the Spirits of Vengeance as it stands.
Look at that, now that Night Elves are properly near extinction, because Ian's ego couldn't handle with it, they finally remember than Night Elves have units and an army. How freaking convenient! Also, how amazing that Alliance characters are always wrong and being lectured, but the Horde assists in invasions, mass murder, destroying, desecrating, but "they still honored dur dur"!Love how Sylvanas got some Deus Ex Machina power that turns every single undead into a mindless minion that mindless obey her but at the same time mysteriously retain their identity. "Horde wants, Horde gets, dur dur" Blizzard motto. And also how Blizzard keep coming up with meaningless punching bags, and worse, taking from the Night Elf side, just so the Alliance gets to beat something, while Ian's precious Horde gets away unscathed.
I can already hear Blizzard saying "Nonono Sylvanas didn't brainwash Sira! Her beliefs and personality just did a 180 when she was turned! It's morally grey!"
I just hate that they basically did the same thing with Sira as they did with Cordana. Cordana's writing wasn't great but it was tolerable. But please don't repeat it with Sira... Like I get that Sira might not particularly like Maiev, but not to the point of fighting for the horde to take over Darkshore. She would sooner kill herself than do that.I'm happy that the wardens haven't been left behind in legion. But they should really be a massive boon for the alliance. With these broadcast texts, they just look very disorganised and easy to turn, to the point of being more of a hindrance to the Alliance.
I love to read when some ppl say no horde players can follow Sylvanas... or at least not forsaken players... And I ask why? I don't understand why they think we should fight fair against those who can't admit our existence in azeroth... If the alliance have the power nothing will stop them to eliminate the goblin cartells, exterminate the trolls, inprison the blood elfs in the name of elune and destroy the forsaken or the orcs in the name of the light... Probably they left the taurens unharmed because they have no "ancient" conflict with the allaince, but the other can't expect any good from the selfrighteous goodies... So we do what we must and after we won this war can with our conscience...
The second Warden we lose. What the h$ll is it with Blizzard and the constant hate of Night Elves, and our Wardens? Sure, I've mained a Night Elf since 2007, so I might not be entirely diplomatic here, but still, what the flying f man...And the Undead lost their city as well so I know I'm whining a bit. :pIs this some idea they have back in evil Blizz HQ to make Maiev suffer until she goes bonkers and we have to fight her as well in the end in some future exp/patch?Or is this to make Night Elves more resolute and "more angry" than we were before? We've been losing land to the Horde since Cataclysm though so that seems like a long project...I guess we have to wait and see what Blizzard cooks up in the future patches and expansions...
Thanks. I hate it!
this is so sad... Alexa play Despacito.
About raising elfs: Sylvi was able to do this in mop. Probably she can create banshees too... About the horde and it's concept of honor. I think it's tottally out dated. It's a codex what came from draenor and from the times when the orc clans fought each other and mak'gorah was a comon thing. Technically this "codex" includes who and orc should behave and foght aganist an another orc. But this codex never speaks about how to wage war against other races. Thats why we can find (even thralls horde) "honorable" orcs who have committed heinous crimes. FE: Grommash, Nazgrim, Kill'rogg, Orgrim etc. footnote: In the orc society raiding, arsoning etc never was an unhonorable act... in nutshell if you comit heinious crimes in youre life but you fight and die in the service of the clan/horde than you're an honorable orc.About Sira and others: Finally we can see the conflict of the night elf society. Okay actually they're dead but from this we can learn two things: 1.) The nightelfs are very disciplined ppl who almost never talk about their worries. 2.) The newly returned forsakens new personality mostly depend on their negativ emotions as rage, hatedred, pain and frustration. And mostly they turns against the living who left them in the lurch. We can call it Voss syndrome or the curse of the forsaken... Come to think of it every "alliance" hero who was raise turned against their kind and helped the Dark Lady. Most of them willingly.. The interesting thing is when their "vengance" was completed they betrayed the Dark Lady too. FE: Lord Godfrey, Trollbane... So we can say if someone died with the emotion of "betrayal" then if they come back they will turn Against everything what they stood for in their life.About the horde: The horde is great but it can be much more... but fisrt we must decice what we want. A centralized horde with a comon indentity or the traditional decentralized one with the orcish cultural center.
You know what really sucks? Not only will the Alliance be forced to fight Sira as she leads an assault against her people and home, but they seem to be setting up Delaryn to be Sylvanas's replacement should she be "removed". That means Delaryn will forever be an enemy fighting for the Horde as she follows Sylvanas's exact footsteps.
