Rule of thumb - you don't just take something away from someone without some upfront planning. Simple 101 life example, you hand the kid an ice cream cone and they are intent on at least finishing the cone and you walk up and say, no more, let me rip this in half, oops sorry, you lost out on enjoying the whole cone now here eat it...what do you think the kid is going to do? Its a simple candy store/kid example.
Hmm Kozzie i'm guessing you didn't read what was changed or just didn't understand it as you mentioned being at "51" which would be artifact TRAITS not artifact knowledge. Artifact knowledge cap is being lowered to 40 not artifact traits.
i think people need to calm down, not being funny i'm a 10/10 mythic raider and i know this really isn't a big deal. the whole point of them introducing concordance was so that people wouldn't burn themselves out feeling like they have to grind ap. setting the limit level to 40 means it really isn't going to be worth your time going much past 52th traits anything above that doesn't hurt you but you also shouldn't go out of your way to get it because its not a big deal.
The Artifact Knowledge nerf is the most stupid thing ever done.I mean we have 101 traits in total to go and even now at the current AK it's taking lots of time to grind to the 55th traits. This game is already a grind fest where you have to do some @#$%s in orders to get APs all day grinding. What about people who don't play this game in such basis? Maybe Blizzard is on drugs thinking that doing this will make people to play more or 'more content'.You will need 865,842,644,766,330 AP in total to reach the 101th traitsAt AK 40, An AP token is worth 31,000,000 from m+10,raids etc. Just do the calculation, you know how many u will need to grip to achieve this? ...- /watch?v=6caLQZ02lyEPs - Stop fukin up the game, we are not slaves :)
Well that SUCKS completely. This coupled with 7.2.5 nerfs coming to M+ it's becoming less fun to log in daily. Why bother?
I wanted to make a few observations. I will admit ahead of time that I am torn regarding this new development.1. Part of me is very relieved that I can do things other than farm AP since it is an all consuming activity if you are trying to min/max your character and help your guild push progression.2. However, that being said, the manner in which they changed traits with the latest patch and the humongous leaps in trait AP requirements seems nonsensical considering the previous entire 54 traits required like 74 mill AP. Still an effort but could be accomplished with a steady pace. My current trait requirement is 1.4 BILLION. I feel as many do that at this stage we might as well just cap concordance and let us move on cleanly to OS weapons and alts. Why leave that dangling carrot. It serves zero purpose that i can see other than an annoyance and a random place to put AP since that resource is a byproduct of basic gameplay and activity. 3. It seems very strange to me to change the value of the core concept of how this expansion was designed to play out. AP to steadily increase the strength and power of our weapon. WE didnt choose this path or this concept. We would "mostly" agree that it is a flawed concept. However, it IS a highly prized and sought after resource that many of us have pushed for a variety of reasons. When THEY design the path of how this "system" works, we find a way to function and how to plan our future path. To have it stop short so abruptly is ... unnerving.4. It may be possible that devs again underestimated the effort that players would make to continue down that path of concordance and realized that this could have an extreme impact on game balance for the next tier of raid if min/maxers continue to push at the same level they currently are.Just a few random thoughts.
oh yay 40 AK cause that 200 trillion AP for just trait 101 only isn't that much AP just a little bit, @#$% YOU BLIZZ
On one hand, I think they should've just capped the traits if they wanted to curb AP gains alongside the AK reduction. On another, I don't think we should've had Concordance of the Legionfall to begin with. There's way better Paragon-esque systems that don't involve a power increase but can also be worthwhile to grind for if the players really want it, because that particular trait seems to fail on both counts, even at AK50.
Witness Blizzard's downfall!Achievement in progress
I havent been able to go above 37 ak on ANY of my characters. I tried. made 2 to 4 scrolls, learned them but My level never went up on any of them. So I cant say much of anything . Seeing I cant get to 40. Talking 2 other guildys 2 ppl had the same problem and it was after 7.2....
its grindy enough as it is. starting to feel like a korean grindfest MMORPG
I did create a petition to blizzard to bring back rank 50 if anyone is interested in this let me know. It's posted to a few wow pages on fb and twitter. Thanks guys, let's get blizzard to bring it back for the alts!
So I guess this is the paragon of WoW. Makes sense I guess but WoW was never about being like Diablo before, it always has an end to each expansion leading into the next. I don't get why they even bother putting unobtainable Concordance traits into the weapons if no one will ever be able to unlock them. Seems like a waste, IMHO
I don't think the people who are upset about this understand how little it matters. the Concordance trait really only needs a single point on it. AK 40 is plenty, it will only take a few days. 50 would've been nicer, not arguing that, but having it 40 really won't make such a huge difference. It's basic math at this point, people...At any rate, if you start putting points in your alts now, you'll get concordance sooner than if you waited the weeks for 50 and then spent the AP :|
