My favorite tier set would probably be Hunter T6. I feel that T6, overall, was the best tier set. The Gronnstalker armor had plenty of eyes, which I found quite intriguing. Unfortunately, I don't play a hunter, nor did I back in the 70 days.
warrior T4 ... that helm was damn sexxxy
My favorite priest tier set is Valorous Regalia of FaithIt's so angelic and god-like, very awesome looking.

Druid T4 - especially for feral, it looked extremely fitting despite colorset, which looks odd (for druids) at first sight. But you just gotta love the stag helm - look, hunters are kinda stealing that design for T12 :P
My favorite tier sets just have to be the Priest T5 and T8. They both just look so amazing from concept artwork to the actual model.
Shammy T7 10man, I just love blue. :D
Shaman Tier 6 is my favorite. Looks perfect for a shaman, and the lightning coming out the shoulders was just awesome.
This is a tough one. I was going to choose Judgement Armor, but i think I would have to go with Avatar Raiment. Not only is Avatar Raiment beautiful, it just fits the priest class perfectly. The shoulder represent angel wings and really make the set stand out. The halo over the hood really shows that you hold to your holy and priestly ways. And if you can compliment this set with Staff of Immaculate Recovery that of course completes it nicely!
My favorite is the Battlegear of Might. (Battlegear of Might)When a worgen wears the helmet, it looks like they're wearing a muzzle. Suppose it stops them biting gnomes and goblins for a little while.
Warlock T6! On my first toon, my first raid (Sunwell!), once I saw this set, I instantly made a warlock for this set because of it's so epic! I especially love the wings the sometimes appear, they just add to the coolness! (No, I never got that Warlock to level 70 for the set, but, I will eventually got a Burning Crusade Raiding Twink Warlock for it!)
My favorite one is and would be Merciless Gladiator's Battlegear, because it looks awesome as the 'Destroyer Battlegear' but with the right colors
Any of the T0.5 sets really, but being a priest back then, Vestments of the Virtuous has the most sentimental value to me. It was a great questline, the gear was excellent pre-raid stuff, and today it's very exclusive to see someone still have proof of having done these vanilla WoW quests.
Rogue "Tier 2 - Bloodfang Armor" was the best in my opinion because the look of that set was badass looking and it inspired fear to people. Fear that you had the king of the stun lock (back in the days) and that you were going to be raped in PvE and PvP. In a certain way...The look still inspires me to what is a rogue, and what it should looks like. The stats weren't that awesome, but the look was worth it.Thank you.
Going by the looks, the paladin tier 2 set is my favourite. Other sets such as the warlock tier 6 were great too when you just wanted to show off with your class, but for some reason I have a fondness for the paladin one. Stat wise I'm not going to say much, I have never found any particular set bonus or other itemization to be worth much rejoicing, though the t7 mage set remains in my mind as something great as it turned a somewhat boring ability, the mana gem, into a reactive direct damage boost. I really do look forward to seeing more set bonuses like that in the future.
