Terrokar ForestIts the zone in he outland that seemed somewhat "normal". It was a great looking zone, I've always liked forests and this one was the best I've seen yet. I remember spending hours in this zone trying to complete every quest here. Its nostalgic, memories of a better time.
I expect people to look at me with terror, confusion, and a wish to escape. I play a gnome DK a lot now, so I get those anyway.I like Pre-Cata Barrens. Was nice, rather peaceful, and other than the patrol of night elves that seemed to show up exactly when you weren't expecting them at all, rather easy-going, especially for a 10-25 or so level zone. Maybe I'm lucky. Maybe the servers I played on were spared the insane 'Barrens Chat' everyone dreads. Maybe things were a simpler time in Vanilla, but I never once dre-- -- ok, so there was some reasons to dread going to The Barrens, back when alliance were prone to raid Crossroads and egg on the little teen level hordies to attack the Raid-geared (or PvP geared) lv 60s. And I will admit, there was still the expected "Where is Mankrik's Wife?" in general, because the body was difficult to find. But it still ranks up there in my favorite zones. And even after the cataclysm rent the zone in twain, and as I flew back from over Razor Hill during the Nobelgarden festivities, to find people to place bunny ears on, I took the time to reflect on what was the teething zone for many a player, I took the time to find the memorial I had ran past many time in the last 3, 4 years. So, I salute thee, the savanna that was the testing land for the tauren, orc, and troll players, and the regular annoyances that was alliance world "raids" on the major villages there. Where the first real work most horde ever got to do, and where alliance had to ninja from, or befriend, a horde member to get a white lion pet.And where people on other servers and/or other times of day learned apparently how awesome Chuck Norris (or High Warlord Saurfang, for RP servers) really was.~Ulhartiki, 85 gnome deathknight, Retaliation battlegroup (Zangarmarsh)~Nepharius, 67 troll mage, Retaliation battlegroup (Ysera)
I have to say that The Storm Peaks was my favorite zone. I thoroughly enjoyed the chain surrounding the iron collosus and Loken. As well as the Sons Of Hodir quests.
Nagrand is my favourite zone. Such a bright, beautiful zone. Full of wildlife and water. If it were real it would be what I'd call a utopia or an oasis. Just full of natural beauy and warmth.
Gotta say Mount Hyjal. The new fully-fleshed out zone is really cool, but I'll always have a soft spot for the old unfinished zone that I would mountain jump my way into back in Vanilla, and showing friends how to do the same. That old Archimonde skeleton is still cool!
Quite the difficult choice for there are a number of zones that are absolutely beautiful, but Howling Fjord remains my favorite. It was the perfect introduction to the start of my Northrend adventures.
By far Storm Peaks. I love the Quests there, it`s like they`re imbued with Lore by the Titans themselves! The music is beyond comprehension ! Greatest Zone ever created by the Titans!
People say nagrand.. Icecrown... Netherstorm.. but how many of us didnt say WHOAAAA when they first stepped foot out of the Dark Portal and into Hellfire Peninsula? How much did you await to pass through the portal and into Hellfire Peninsula? To this day the longest 10 seconds of my life were the 10 seconds I spent loading from Blasted Lands into Hellfire Peninsula and no game experience will ever top off that for me.. and many others like me that were playing vanilla and were getting goosebumps when they first heard YOU ARE NOT PREPAIRED !
