Mulgore post Cataclysm.I absolutely loved the changes made in Cataclysm and it made the experience there ten times better. When I first started playing in Vanilla WoW I first rolled a Tauren. Returning back now to all the changes was awesome.
Howling Fjord is going to have to be my favorite zone. I've always been a sucker for vikings, and Norse mythology in general, and Howling Fjord delivers upon that, stupendously. The Vrykul architecture is spot on to viking architecture, the weaponry, the battling for ascension, the valkyr, all of the work Blizzard put into giving Norse mythology and vikings their own twist was effort that was not wasted, they did a superb job on it all. The overall atmosphere couldn't possibly be improved for a better viking feel. The combination of the undead presence in the zone with their own architecture really was an excellent touch to the zone, as well. The viking and undead theme merge together and go hand in hand perfectly. Overall I would give the zone a personal rating of 10/10.
I have to say that Icecrown is still my favorite zone. To this day it is the only place i all of WoW that has ever given me the feeling of "You shouldn't be here" From the music to the scenery, the icy blue flames, the awe inspiring sight of Icecrown Citadel and its maassive saronite walls The very look of Icecrown is one of fear and dread, of a land that's gone past the tipping point and headlong into the apocalypse. The entire effect of the zone is immersion of the highest order. Truly a masterwork on Blizzard's part.
Gilneas (As the worgen Starting zone). I mean the entire thing is so epic. All the masses of undead you bomb. best phasing in the game real wrawps it all together into a really great taco zone.
Un'goro crater, ahh, the days of Thorium farming and selling on AH for big bucks =DSuch a nice place, felt like I was in Jurassic Park. Leveling there was really annoying though, many many mobs to skirt around.
Moonglade. It's so peaceful anytime of day. Lush & green
Icecrown, because of the lore.
Favourite zone ... It has to be Southern Barrens. With so much going on there right now , and Alliance and Horde fighting all the time. There are some pretty good quests there too
My favorite zone post-Shattering is Hillsbrad Foothills. Being the quest addict that I am, I am absolutely in love with the quests there. Helping Jenny, finding Dumass, saving Orkar from drowning in waist-deep water, and handing out the quests to all three of them is just hilarious.
Eastern Plaguelands is my favorite. Before Cata is was a very very hard zone with a lot of quests. And of course you get to see Chromie for the first time (or IS it the first time)..
Duskwood, as I have some found memories of be chased around by Stitches.
Uldum has got to be my favorite zone just because of the Gnomebliteration quest. Best questing experience ever.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
The zone which left me speechless, Has gotta to be Twilight Highlands. The zone is full of fun and joy. Yet when you start questing deeper and deeper in you discovery death, Chaos, and horror of Cho'gall and Deathwing. Playing as Horde at the time, the intro quest where you fly and fight along side Garrosh has only one word to truly define it and that word is EPIC.
My would be Storm Peaks. It's a very well done zone and i enjoy the lore behind the Titans and the Greek architecture mixed with Norse mythology. It also has one of the most epic quest chains in game.
my favoriteis Uldum. i liked this zone it has a good quest line, cutscenes, and indiana jones.
My favorite zone is the new Redridge Mountains. I loved the whole quest chain with John J. Keeshan and Bravo Co. I was fantastically fun and so emotional. I still have the final quest reward http://www.wowhead.com/item=60730. /salute to Bravo Co.
