Well my favorite zone would have to be Tirisfal Glades Undead starting zone, something about being the Forsaken is interesting to me. Plus the story line of UC, and how it came to be (lore), The storyline of how Lady Sylvanas was tortured, mutilated, & killed by Arthas & made her into a banshee to serve him as a slave. She broke away from Arthas. She plans herrevenge on Arthas for what he did to her. Fighting the Scarlet Monastery and learning why they've invaded Tirisfal Glades along with the Scourge. Some people might think it's morbid, but I like it. lol For the Forsaken!
I am really torn between three zones, so I hope you will forgive me for not picking just one favourite, but rather describing what I like so much about all three.First of all, it might be a little cliché, but I think if I had to pick just one, I'd say that Nagrand is my all time favourite. Not because of any of the quests, but basically just because of the atmosphere there. It's all very open and wide, and I like that. Also it's the perfect nature landscape for me, with a lot of nature, grass, trees, etc. It also has some very interesting points of interest, like the Oshu'gun crystal place, the "island" Halaa, etc. But what I like most of it are definitely the animals. I'm a huge animal lover, and this zone just has the best collection of animals around. First it has the Elekk, who are just the awesome version of elephants, really! Then it has the Clefthoof, which are just so cuddly! Every time I see one, I really just want to hug it and take it home with me. Finally it's also the home of the Talbuk, somehow my all time favourite animal in the entire game. I always have my trusty Talbuk with me as a mount (I have 12 characters and have done the "Talbuk grind" on all 12 of them, because I really can't love without my trusty goat companion). I also have refused to give in to Nessingwary's blood craze of killing all these innocent animals, and rather sometimes visit them to just hang around with them (and on my PVP realm characters killing any players who dare touch them!).Of honourable mention is also Badlands post-shattering. Not of how it looks, but because it simply has the most awesome quests in the game. Although I don't agree with knocking goats off a cliff, it's just a very funny quest line. And what about the three silly people bragging about how they fought with Deathwing? Surely one of the most epic quest lines in the game (if not the most epic!). Pre-shattering a very boring place, but post-shattering surely one of the best. :DAnd finally I want to mention Karazhan as well. It's by far my most favourite dungeon. The atmosphere is just so great there. It's very spooky, but most of all it actually really feels like what I imagine when talking about a "dungeon". It's not a straight hallway with a boss on every corner, but you're actually able to get lost into it. The first time you set foot in there, you're actually exploring, rather than just following the pathway. And even after all these years, I discovered a new room about two weeks ago! Of all dungeons in the game, this one just has the best feeling about it, is laid out the best, and looks so awesome!
Definitely Ghostlands, and - to be more accurate - Shalandis Isle. It's probably the only place for a horde player to expirence that epic Temple of the Moon music theme. :] I used to leave my char there, set volume to max and kept listening to this song (until i found it on the youtube :P).
I'd have to say that my favorite zone is Howling Fjord because whenever I think of folk lore I always imagine coming across a place like that and lets face it Utgarde Keep is one bad a** looking castle. -Thank you <3
The most impressive and epic zone is deffinatelly the Blackrock. It's huge siluette visible from most positions of the whole continent. This great place of adventures, my first raids, the real bosses...that was the moment I started loving WoW, long time ago in those ancient halls.
I have to say my most favorite zone is Uldum, cause of the atmosphere of it.
I have since i started playing wow loved Tanaris. The rich troll lore, Watcher lore and of course Noggenfogger elixir. I was enfatuated with the valley of the watchers, i went to Uldaman just to get the quest at the end in hopes of getting inside. but to no awail. Tanaris, now with Uldum open is my favourite zone.
Ulduar, by far. I still love the organic hard mode activation far more than I enjoy the new UI toggle.
I love un'goro crater. its wild and untamed, the very essence of nature. and the green you cant forget the green.....
My favorite zone is Howling Fjord. The music there is the best that is in game.
