I like Winterspring because that's as close as I want to come to snow & I love the tigers!
Favourite zone? Has to be Eastern Plaguelands.. I remember grinding in Tyr's Hand back in Vanilla. Also the Lore - it's great. For the Light and the Argent Dawn!
Mine would have to be Thunder Bluff. There's very much an air of peace about the place, even in a time of war. The fact that the city was built on top of a group bluffs for protection gives me a real sense of freedom, since there's no walls around the outskirts. The city seems to move at its own pace, which is very much like me in real life.
Loch Modan was one of my earliest memories of wow I both loved and hated that zone.
Silithus, the music was great and I just have lots of good memories from there! ^^
I liked Gilneas alot. Both the quests and the atmosphere is incredible.
My favorite zone i definitely Nagrand. Its such a drastic departure from the rest of the Outland, that it has always stood out in my mind. From the rolling plains, the snakes on the plane, to Oshugun... It's truly a unique experience.Close runner up is definitely pre-shattering Azshara. Love the Aszharite, Maws, and the blasted night elf ruins overrun with their corrupted brethren the Naga.
Mount Hyjal i think. The most epic questline and great music.
Winterspring. It's such an underrated zone. I love snow, I was born in the Winter, I love Winter. It's a calm, has some nice quests and looks strange to see green goblins on white snow. Plus that music, it's really breathtaking.
My favorite zone is The Cape of Stranglethorn and especialy Booty Bay.I'm a sailor myself and it is always awesome if you come with your ship and dock to a small harbour with a small village and behind is a big jungle. If you have some free time you rent a jeep and go on adventure in the jungle. Everytime i take the ship from ratchet it reminds me of the adventures i had myself and offcourse still too come. Sometimes time is short so you just go to the local bar and hang out and have some drinks and Booty Bay has that too
Mine has to be Uldum, I love Egypt stuff and Blizzard made a awesome job in making Uldum an amazing place to Level, you won't be bored because there is alot of Cutscenes in Uldum and another thing that I like in Uldum is the Harrison Jones Quest Chain, who doesnt love a good Indiana Jones Reference? That said, Uldum is for me the best Zone that Blizzard made in terms of Leveling and History.
Id have to say the new Hillsbrad Foothills, Just becouse of the Questline in the beginning with Kingslayer Orkus and Johnny Awesome :D
I'm quite a big fan of Vashj'ir: Abyssal Depths, the area really looks awesome ^^
It's a tough call, in traditional oldschool azeroth I really liked Tirisfal glades. I think the name itself is kind of cool and then with the story about the guardians of Tirisfal it made it even cooler, that ominous color scheme and spiders lurking on the outskirts with the gnolls always gave a hint of danger without being oppressing. Then when you get to outlands, as far as lore I liked shadowmoon. The story of how Gul'dan and his warlock cohorts were ripping the world apart with fel magic and corrupting the black temple was really intriguing. The temple was awesome too, and how you run into Guldan and Teron Gorefiend as well as the netherwing!Looks alone though, I really liked Nagrand. Peaceful and a bit of variety as well, if you wanted to play in the water you could, go play in a wasteland or floating rock clusters you could too and there was always something interesting to find. When it came to Wrath though, as incredible as the special effects were for Icecrown and storm peaks or the serenity of Sholazar (wasn't a fan of borean at all.. was just boring) I think my favorite was Howling Fjord. The artistry that went into the woodwork on the buildings around skorn or the detail that went into Utgarde keep/pinnacle was amazing. It gave a very detail oriented and authentic feel to the norse habitats and nordic lifestyle that I have always been a fan of. And introducing shield maidens and hurlscars? Bravo, love real life being introduced!.When it came to Cataclysm though, I hated all the swimming in Vashj but really liked the zone otherwise. The drowned city of the high elves after the war of the ancients and an answer as to what happened to Azshara and her followers? Priceless!. Plus I really loved the Call of Cthulhu creatures running around everywhere, Faceless corruptors all the tentacled creatures etc. It was a tribute to a great writer. Overall though, it had to be Deepholm for me. The entire zone was absolutely breathtaking. The colors and the detail were crazy!. Giant colossi made of emerald drakes made of stone flying everywhere, Crystal spires floating majestically and the temple of earth was beautiful. While I thought Therazane herself looked a little odd (especially how to interact with them you auto move to their crotch area) her throne was stunning with the gemstone arrays and lighting and how it radiated dazzling colors for hundreds of yards to let you know you were heading to the right place. !Absolutely Fantastic Job on that one Blizzard!
