I like the goblin starting zone, because the first 30 seconds or so of the music there is awesome. It also had the quest where you kill a giant shark by shooting it with laser beams from inside a shark-shaped submarine, and that was pretty damn cool.
I loved desolace back in bc when I first leveled in it.I loved it because I really felt like I was a lone hero, trying to save not the world, but just a little slice of it.
My favorite zone by far would be Grizzly Hills. With its amazing giant pine trees I can just smell them when I get close to my computer screen, Just a overall calm place for me.oh and it has grizzly bears... I love Grizzly bears!.

My favorite zone is defiantly Blade's Edge Mountains. I really enjoyed leveling this inside this zone back in Burning Crusade and I still attempt to make pit stops there on my alts. I love the atmosphere in this zone and it has an abundance of herbs and ores. Its an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.
By far, it has to be the storm peaks.i quested there so much, and the overall feel of the zone is just amazing! I'm a huge fan of the Norse influenced names and npcs. I still go there and just hang out, still get shivers while flying around too, just epic.
I loved the blades edge mountains. Those impaled dragons were easily the coolest thing I have seen in wow to date save for the Ulduar raid zone.
My favorite zone would have to be Howling Fjord. With all the Scandinavian-esque lore and scenery it really made me not want to outlevel the content just so I could stay around and watch the view.
With its new looks in the shattering, its massive amount of new quest lines and its tie to the Earthen Ring. With my most time played in-game flying around its pillars in a gigantic circle, looking for the infamous stone drake that sometimes haunts its skies. With its great color combination (my favorite colors, albeit a bit creepy and dark) and its importance to the World of Warcraft as a whole, my single most choice of favorite places to go in this world continues to be.. Deepholm. The quest lines that are so entrenched into the histories and current lives of the earthen ring and thrall himself, keeps a player on their toes when they are new(er) to the game. The many powerful creatures left wandering the bottom of this voided hole leaves those users land-bound to fear for their lives.Once you really take to the sky you can breath in a sigh of relief. /sigh. For lo and behold! its beautiful as well as dangerous, and its easy to get lost in gazing around its many.. corners? and loaded mountains and pillars, floating rocks and mighty pathways. The pillar in the center, spewing massive amounts of energy into the nether-realm of deepholm, mixes with the essences you see floating about, but unable to catch. The few things that you can catch, and the one that must be the most prized of all, are rare to be seen. The powerful and elusive dragon mount, the phosphorescent beast that roams the pillar ready to devour those powerful hero that might think to cross its path, the gliding wing of destiny, the rarely seen Aeonaxx! I myself have spent wonderous hours scanning the void of Deepholm for a glimpse of this beastly magnificent dragon, after only having one of its many breathern tamed as a mount myself, its near twin from Stonecore, the vicarious stone drake itself! Deepholm's beauty, ease of navigation, activities (quests, quest lines, heroic dungeons), size, and infamy (Aeonaxx himself!) are my top reasons for picking this area as my favorite. As you enter this realm, you can not help but be humbled by its presence the very first time.
I would say Grizzly Hills, for a number of reasons. First, The Epic music of the zone sounds like it was in the LOTR's movie. Second, the Land i have been to New Zealand and that is what this zone reminds me of everytime i fly over the area. Also you get to see alot of creatures/beast in the area too. i feel bad for jumping on a roommates pc all the time but hey that is what friends are for right.
My favorite zone in wow has to be Nagrand. I love how it's all green grass and blue sky. It's just so peaceful!
If I had to choose an area of my liking it would be The Great Sea :). I mean its so great and vast it covers the shores Azeroth. And holds The Maelstrom right smack in the middle am betting there's still some unexplored areas waiting to be found unknown monsters to be killed with some epic loots.
Duskwood is hands down my favorite zone. It's dark, gloomy, and has music that fits the overall mood of the zone perfect. And...Jitters is there, what more could you want.
Grizzly Hills, its Scandinavian feel is pretty darn cool.
Let's see, my absolute favorite zone out of all of the zones of world of warcraft is the zone called Teldrassil where the night elf race starts at. The reason why I choose this zone was because its just plain out beautiful place and it would seem that not even after cataclysm/the shattering had affected the zone all that much. There are a few others (elywnn forest, westfall, and wetlands) that I like as well but those pale in comparison to Teldrassil and how awesome it looks.
Personally my favorite zone was Silithus. It had the whole Egyptian feel to it with all of the sands and whatnot. The AQ event back then was really exiting as well because it just had the competition against the alliance that actually meant something. All of the bugs and hives all around the zone gave it that creepy vibe like something was going to come out of the sand and swallow you whole.
