My favorite zone would have to be post-Shattering Stranglethorn. Especially cause you get to be a pirate without the hellish rep grind
I suppose that my favorite zone would have to be the Moonglade. There's just so much serenity and peace packed into that place, not to mention the beautiful scenery and buildings. I was stricken with grief when my then level 40 warlock made it through the deadly Timbermaw Hold only to find that there was no innkeeper in the entire zone and that he could not make this place his home. I had died countless times getting there and racked up quite the repair bill, but in the end, it was worth it just to see that startlingly beautiful zone just once.

I'm one of thoes few rare players who have been around since before The burning crusade and have a vast memory of what the world was like then and its many wonders and beauties that i will never forget. The burning crusade not only brought its own wonders to experience but also unlocked a cosmic scene that really changed things and has yet to be matched even today.Wrath of the lich king (Despite the overwhelming number of players who were rather critical about it) was a fun experience all on its own.Ice crown having been shown to be a rather spectacular land scape and a site for sore eyes (With its improved graphic engine) despite its dark history as being the home of the Scourge Which was ruled by one of the most nightmarish villains the story had.But i'm getting ahead of my self. When ever i would start new character i always would move them to the undead leveling zones in favor of its style and feeling it provide while playing.(Even when i made tauren character's i always moved them to silverpine and went from there.)Don't get me wrong i've experienced all the lore from all the Factions had to ofter.but i have always been in favor to the undead.Undead was also my favored faction in WarCraft 3
The Stonecore, simply because it looks beautiful to me. I use screen shots as some of my wallpapers...
I've got to say Howling Fjord is my favorite. I love the lore and music in it as well as the scenery. It is definitely my favorite zone of Northrend for both Alliance and Horde sides.
My favorite Zone has got to be my first time entering Mount Hyjal, the scenary is amazing and the questlines bring out the badassery of WoW lore all into one convenient package. The resurrection of Demigods and the battles with Ragnaros and Twilight's Hammer made me feel more like my character wasn't just some random ass NPC that does nothing major and more like an actual Hero of Azeroth. You just don't get that same feeling from Vashj'ir, no happy ending, just annoying naga, everything going to hell, major questline characters dying, a rick roll and a crabs comb, more annoying naga, etc.. Plus who can question Aronus's badass voice on your first visit to Hyjal? :D
Duskwood. Remember back in the day when Stitches came to town and just wrecked everything? And it took 40 level 30s to bring him down. Yep, Duskwood. Everything about that zone was awesome. Especially the creepy music and the hiding level 30 elites sneaking up on you in the graveyard. Love that zone.
I love Shadowmoon Valley. I spent a lot of time there getting my netherdrake and really liked the look of the zone. It seemed a lot more dark and gloomy then the other BC zones and it left a pretty awesome impression.
My favorite zone is easily Nagrand. There are many reasons for this, some hard to explain. The zone looks very beautiful with it's rolling african type landscape. I also usually prefer animal mobs over humanoids for some reason, I secretly wish for a Hemet Nesingwary raid, or at least dungeon, every single content patch. Now that Blizzard has the expressed purpuse to revitilize old parts of WoW my dream is rekindled that a big old Nesingwary raid will be placed in Nagrand :)Every time I level a new character I cant wait until he or she reach 64 so I can start picking up quests in Nagrand. Then I usually stay there until I hit 68.
Winterspring, I've always liked it because of the snow, the cats, and the Winterfall Firewater . To bad there are no snow angels in WoW...
My favorite zone to date has to be the Isle of Quel'Danas. I loved that the whole zone required everyone to participate to unlock more, and the rivalry of the factions fighting for spawns made for some fun world PvP.
Hmmm, for favorite zone i have to go with Uldum, it is totally a place filled with an awesome storyline (INDIANA JONES FTW!) and also of amazing, very beautiful landscapes, plus, the fact of exploring WoW's version of Ancient Egypt is so good, it's to die for, it's one of my favorite, if not THE favorite zones i've ever been in, it's really nice :D.
My favorite zone was the original Alterac Valley before they started making the games shorter. Never before or since has anything compared to the epic battles that raged there.
