Uldum would have to be it. I love desert expanses with the occasional oasis or ancient ruins, or a small lush village with a river adorned by palm trees. The zone is modeled after ancient Egyptian architecture which I happened to be a big fan of, being Egyptian myself.
Arathi Highlands, by far. World PvP at it's finest.

Must be Un'Goro for the Jurassik Park feeling that emanates from almost every corner of the crater.
My favorite zone so far has been Icecrown. There really seemed to be an underlying sense of urgency to the zone that made it exciting. Also the quest line(name eludes me at the moment) where you try to save the Crusader infected with the plague that culminates in the Naruu spiriting him awat to escape corruption--most awesome quest line ever! I did it on three toons and it gets me everytime.
Dalaran. Hands down, best damn city and zone in the entire game. I can remember getting on my first character back in Vanilla, riding out to Hillsbrad, and sitting in awe at the massive purple bubble that supposedly held a city ravaged by the Third War and Archimonde's destructive spell. Did it still hold survivors inside? Had any famous mages from lore survive? How did they live, trapped inside a dome? (Probably very much like Springfield did after the EPA dropped a dome over it). It held so much potential, and when Wrath of the Lich King released, all that built-up potential suddenly evaporated- into something truly incredible. The towering turrets, the winding streets, the shops, banks, barbers, wine shop, inn, even the Dalaran Visiter's Center- it was all THERE. While Azeroth and its heroes had seen Elemental Lords defeated, Old Gods laid low, and once-great leaders like Kael'thas and Illidan go bad and had to be put down- and in a few cases like Kael's, even been put down AGAIN- Dalaran had been rebuilding, and living its quiet life inside that violet sphere, just waiting for a chance to be seen by the World again. I could go on for pages about the excitement of finally finding all those Arcane books, or the subtle hilarity of fishing up coins of some of Azeroth's greatest folks; about getting "MANABONKED" by a Mage that was a little off his rocker, or finding out that Aeris *wasn't* dead, but just selling flowers in another RPG; even seeing people groan that, yet again, Occulus was the daily heroic; all of it made the city one of the most memorable places to visit, and each time I went back, I found something new to like. After WoW has passed on, Azeroth sitting quietly vacant, and Blizzard is full steam into their next big thing, I'll log in one final time to pay it a visit. After all, I might finally catch that Giant Rat.
My favorite zone is Grizzly Hills. The landscape, atmosphere and music there is so great i always level my characters through that zone.
I loved Hellfire Peninsula as I leveled my first toon. The huge difference in creatures and environment from Vanilla to BC blew my mind.
My favorite zone would have to be Teldrassil, I had never played any Warcraft game before, and World of Warcraft also happened to be the first MMO game I had ever played. As I clicked around the different races at the character select screen, the Night Elves just seemed to stick with me. Elves are cool, having been raised on fantasy literature, and the forest background looked mystical and pretty. Night Elves also happened to be the only race on the Alliance side that you could play a Druid(I wasn't particularly fond of playing a walking cow at that time to be honest). And so I began my WoW adventure with Zenanjoyo, my Balance Druid(Leveled Balance and have stuck with the spec ever since then). After exploring the vast forest, after killing a few wolves, giant spiders and overgrown owls, after visiting the Night Elf city of Darnassus and meeting Tyrande Whisperwind, I then came to realize that this whole time, this whole damn time, I had been walking around on the top of a giant freaking tree! Good stuff, Blizzard, good stuff.
I will vote for Karazhan, in particular the hallway leading up to the Maiden of Virtue. The mobs that turn into succubi, the humor in the guest rooms themselves, and the dialogue from the trash mobs all were great; the whole thing fit right into the overall beautiful raid instance as well.
Howling Fjord has to be my favorite zone. I miss it and sometimes go back there, just to fly around and enjoy the scenery and the music.
Deepholm for sure.
One word: WINTERGRASP. or, more specifically, early-Wrath wintergrasp, before the changes (queueing, autoraid formation, etc. were added). I was never too into PVP when i played all through BC, and wasn't too thrilled with it when Wrath first came out. Then i hit 80, and discovered wintergrasp. A free for all pvp zone i could take control of and then be able to do Vault of Archavon and get epic lewtz? YES, PLEASE. A whole section of achievements for pwning the entire zone? YES, PLEASE.determination set in - i not only banged out all of the WG achievements, but i became the "go-to" raid organizer when WG was about to be up for battle. 15, 30, then 45mins prior, I'd be the one spamming trade or WG gen chat LFM for my 40 man WG raids. i LOVED the whole concept of it - the battle itself was actually fun, and the zone's nifty shops and of course the Keep itself amazed me. I think in those first few months of farming all of the achievements for WG, i must've participated in at least 500 WG battles. I amassed more stone keeper's shards and WG marks than i could ever possibly use up. it was AWESOME. Everyone on Azgalor pretty much knew me as the "Queen of WG" Oh, and did I mention my raids pretty much had a 90% win ratio? ...I just really didn't like to give up control of my keep! You would think one would get tired of the zone after having farmed so many battles within it, but i loved it even more. There was just so much to do - pvp, farm mat's, chill out in the keep, raid VoA, do my fishing daily, weekly quests, etc. Plus, the zone music is awesome and has always reminded me of Christmas time. Even though WG may not be as popular now as it first was, it still remains my favorite zone in game. Not only does it hold personal significance in getting me obsessed with the PvP aspect of the game, but its also a beautifully designed area. Plus, there's flowers and grass growing in the same zone as a molten crater and snow and ice! How many places can you find that? =pOh, and of course, the turret guns. Getting to pew pew demos down is definitely full of win in my book.WINTERGRASP, i shall forever heart thee.
Deepholm without a doubt. Best scenery in the game.
