The Ghostlands. When I finally chose to level a Horde character after 4 years playing Alliance, I found it spooky, interesting and at the same time, slightly repugnant. A perfect metaphor for the Blood Elf I was playing.
I'd have to say Netherstorm. I love the purple and the dark colors of the zone. The atmosphere actually feels like outer space. I loved the quests involving the blood elves and the Manaforges. All in all, my favorite zone of all time and a lot of BC memories there.
I've always loved the music in Dalaran, but my current favorite it definitely Bilgewater Habour. I wish they would make it a proper capital with trade chat and so on.
Definitely Nagrand. It's just so big and wide open, and not dreary, but on top of that it has a little of everything... water areas, caves, Twilight Ridge, Throne of the Elements, Oshu'gun, ogres, gronns, Durn and the Nesingwary groups mobs, the arena, Halaa... it's packed full of so many things. On top of that it has awesome floating islands to hang out on, with trees even. :P
My favorite zone is Vashj'ir. I have always enjoyed diving the depths in Azeroth on my druid's aquatic form and wished Blizzard would put in some content that would make the aquatic form more useful than just diving on abandoned wrecks. Although diving on abandoned wrecks that didn't have anything to do with questing is still one of my favorite explorations.I also love the references to 20.000 leagues under the Sea, it is still one of my favorite books.
This is a horrible question! I can't decide. There is ...Zangarmarsh. Such a radically different landscape with giant glowing mushrooms and long-legged creatures. It's eerie and enchanting with its luminous plants and animals. So different from any zone in the game, truly unique.Duskwood. The ghosts, grave-robbers, the hauntings, the evil and twisted romance of a lonely madman! This place is creepy cool. Worgens and spiders run rampant! Ogres, skeletons, zombies! This is the first zone that really offered me adventure as a member of the Alliance. My vote however goes to....Arathi Highlands. Anyone worth their salt can feel a Braveheart speech echoing through this land. The history of Stromgarde Keep and her people fascinates me still.
My favorite is Nagrand. The atmosphere there with all beings, beauty and nature, many different resources, favorite Gas-Farmspot as an engi... just awesome. It has Nesingwary-Quests what makes you lvl fast, cause of all the kill-only quests, the first Arena Questchain appeared there. It has a very interesting Questchain "Hero of the Mag'har" that tells the past of the Mag'har Orcs. I saw the first Mountain-Gronn there (ow yeah, Durn u big mother...'s boy)... Halaa, lots of fun, how could i forget u halaa? Ganking all day and night for this "beautiful" Talbuks... just to have them :x ... what should i say more, many good memories, love the zone!Bless your Face
Definitely Eastern Plaguelands. It was even better Pre-Cata. It has Stratholme (Best dungeon) and it's just got amazing quests and the likes.
un'goro crater :3 yea its an odd place to love but i reeeeally like the whole dino setting^^ loved doing all the quests and i got my fav. pet there, king Mosh >:3 i love it so much i still hang around there just to find the rare spawns and port anyone in my guild who wants to tame/kill them
Deepholme - just the overall feel of the zone is remarkable.
My favorite zone is the Borean Tundra, the first look at Wrath content. Quests that chained you along and advanced the story.
Silverpine Forest for me. Push through from north to south, beating the Worgen at every turn, while at the same time seeing them bolster their ranks. Top it off with a push into Gilneas itself, with three spectacular moments: Lorna being traded in exchange for the surrender of Gilneas; Commander Onslaught fighting off the Worgen so the Forsaken can make their retreat; and lastly the sacrifice of the Val'kyr to save The Dark Lady. The entire zone's storyline (not just the finale) is just so very moving, especially with an undead character.Besides, when's the next time you'll have the chance to skin a worgen druid? ;D
I simply love the new Hillsbrad foothills, specially with the revamp the new quests made.
My favorite zone would have to be Zangarmarsh. I chose this because it was the current content for when I started playing. Who can not love Zangarmarsh. It was home to a challenging (at first) raid, which only some people got the privilege to experience. It had it's own little PvP tower defense. I will never forget the hours I spent grinding Cenarion and Sporeggar rep. All of this and when I think about Zangarmarsh I think about all the fun I had on my druid during BC. There was an abundance of herbs, minerals, and gas clouds there as well. I had mining and engineering on my druid so when I got low on funds or saw something that I really wanted I could just fly out there, put on my helmet and turn on "Find Minerals" through the mini map and zoom around Zangarmarsh with my 280% flier. Druids at that time didn't have to shape shift out of flight form to get gas clouds or to mine mineral nodes so I really did make a ton of gold then. And when I say a ton of gold then, I mean a couple hundred gold an hour. Yes it was a very tough time, now I make about 3 or 4k a week and do nothing except for use cds. I probably make a lot more but who is counting. I think through all of BC I made about 120k and that was thanks to Shattered Sun dailies that I used to train professions and farm with the professions. I mostly farmed in Zangarmarsh though because all throughout BC and even toward the end of it Primal Water was still ridiculously high on my server about 20g each while all the other ones were like 2 or 5 g each. Zangarmarsh was equivalent to Wrath's Sholazar Basin and Cata's well I haven't really farmed much in cata so maybe you can tell me.
