"The titans haven't been entirely honest with us"So we paid real money, for the wow chronicles which were advertised to be a summarization of the warcraft lore, the canon of the history of wow, only for Blizzard to now tell us "sorry, they lied"? ^&*! everything about their lore in the past several years.
God I hope this isn't going to turn out to be a "I'm not any of you guys, I'm just me" climax.I'm surprised there's not more speculation about the meaning of the "last" titan. Does it mean there will be no more titans? If so, why? Either the titans are all going to be killed, except one, which seems unlikely, or the titans are going to stop being born. This seems to support the video's theory. After all, in our previous understanding the universe should be full of "titans" waiting to be "born", but if they're not actually titans and just "potentials" it's much easier for there to be a "last" titan. Perhaps the titans will "learn their lesson" and stop meddling with world souls? Perhaps Illidan has been scolding them about this while he put the pliers to Sargeras....But then the other forces would be free to claim the potentials, so how does that work? The titans kind of suck, but are they worse than the void? Also, if the story turns out to be titans meddling with world souls, then presumably we'll try to stop them, to let Azeroth "be herself". But the "last titan" would suggest Azeroth is born a Titan. So, do we fail? Or is the last Titan someone else entirely and not Azeroth at all?
One aspect is missing in the discussion here.Remember Ulduar, where Algalon told us, that not everything went following the titan's plans, and he wants to push the reset button. It is not completely clear in the dialog, what went wrong (old gods corruption, burning legion invasions, the plague, the curse of flesh, or something else). After defeated by the Azeroth champions, Algalon reconsiders his decision - so something which the champions did in recent time makes the pantheon think, that they should keep Azeroth.
