Is there any benefit (outside of achievements which can be earned in the normal raid) to doing hardmode bosses during timewalking?Does higher ilvl than 200 loot drop (like 207 or 213), or do you just enable the extra hardmode loot to possibly drop at the same i200 lvl?Plz inform as this will affect how we approach this as a guild this weekend. Has anyone seen a single piece of loot higher than 200 yet?
Having to do five TW dungeons that drops awful gear just to get a bit of normal dungeon loot is ludicrous at best. Even the vendor items are worthless, should be nearer 160 to make it worthwhileAlso being restricted to 50's its not even useful for levelling alts.
No, the cache does not drop items from the last two bosses in CN. Also, Great Vault will not give you those items UNLESS you have defeated both that week.
If you want to make TW easy heres a few things you can do with little effort that will make things go much smoother. First thing is getting a decent set of socket gear with versatility, anything around ilvl 40 is best but try to avoid going lower than 35. Socket in either the +2vers/2+(w/e stat u want most of) or the +3 vers gems from TBC sunwell/BT drops. Versatility is very strong at lower levels and you should be able to reach almost 40% vers. The WoD epic ring from Khadgar (the one below the legendary version specifically) will give you a 15% main stat boost proc which helps a lot if you still have this. The MoP legendary cape AND the meta gems are VERY VERY VERY strong! You can get the mechagon trinket with Subroutine: Optimization and Omnipurpose Efficient Logic Board make it incredibly strong. Lastly you would want to use Heart of Azeroth! This, combined with stat increase powers are super strong and almost a must have. Overall, any1 who played during BFA would have HoA and most likely the mechagon trinket, the justice quartermaster in the SW pvp house sells ilvl 41 gear with sockets and the supplies vendor sells pvp gems for marks of honor. I was able to go from 800 dps avg in Ulduar to nearly 2k dps by doing all of this. So it really makes a HUGE difference.
Who is the quest giver?
The raid was pretty easy outside of a few glitches, took 4 hours in a completely uncoordinated group with a few wipes due to mechanical failures, and less due to glitches. The only bosses that were actually hard because of glitches were the penultimate boss and the first boss. Every other boss was pretty easy when people didn't mess up mechanics. Of course we didn't try for hardmode on most bosses, as an uncoordinated group. The first boss has glitch where tar does friendly fire damage and your bikes can kill your demos in seconds if not careful, and penultimate boss has an overtuning issue on mark of the faceless which oneshots everyone around the target, still killed him on second try after getting people spaced out enough. I think we downed every boss within 2 tries except for first boss due to multiple early accidental pulls and bikes wiping the raid multiple times and XT-002 which we tried twice to do hardmode and gave up and did it first time regularly. Personally got 4 pieces and gave away one of them. really fruitful 4 hours for the pain in the ass it was.
Thanks for the tips, @LightningFist, you should write a guide and post it somewhere IMOThat said, they really need to friggin retune Timewalking for Shadowlands.. Ulduar on Timewalking is way harder than Castle Nathria on normal, IMO. The dungeons are easily on par with Mythic +2s too
