There definitely needs to be a cone pre-animation warning with an outline so you can get into place easier without getting shot in the face. Why not have the visual for the jump? Teera and Maruuk in Nokud had an indicator of where she was leaping to substantially before it happened. They can just poach the animation from that fight. The more standardization and clarity mechanics have, the better. It will make the game better to play, and reduce the learning curve for unfamiliar fights. It will open content up to potentially more players and make the experience as a new (or returning) player better, especially if they revamp early gameplay content to have a tutorial about the effects baked in. Having mechanics clearly telegraphed does not mean players will inherently just get better, it offers the tools to be better, but the player still has to be paying attention. It's not playing the game for you to have set standards for incoming attack animations. Making content more accessible is a good thing for almost everyone. It would reduce frustration with folks in PUGs if everyone has a baseline reference for what an effect will do due to its animation. Less time will be needed to explain fights. It's already standard in some competing MMOs, so Blizzard should do what they do best and improve upon concepts laid down by other games.
