I don't use digital download services for games themselves- it's not nearly a frequent enough occurrence (buying new games, that is) to bother with a program running on my computer specifically for that one purpose. However, digital download services for downloading updates to games and/or addons, such as the curse client, I use very often.
I only use Steam. Needed to make after buying Mount&Blade Warband.
I use Steam and... well Origin.Origin only once for Battlefield 3, but Steam I'm using quite often. Skyrim, Borderlands, CoD (don't hate me, I like the story modes), Darksiders, and, last but not least, DOTA 2.
I have steam but rarely use now that wow and my xbox have taken over.
I use GOG.com. It's similar to Steam, but specializes in older, previously boxed games. Other members of my family use Steam. I like the fact that the GOG and STEAM are always available when I upgrade my computer, or if I have to reformat my hard drive. I don't have to back them up, and I don't have to hunt around for the CD when I want to reinstall. If I'm traveling with my laptop, I can just go onto my account, download the game and play. I can also delete the games to save disk space, then go back and download again when I'm in the mood. The best thing about Steam and GOG is that the games don't have to sit on my bookshelf, I don't have to dust the boxes, and I don't have to make the difficult decision to get rid of one when the bookshelf gets full.
wow is a good game ;)
Even though I mostly play WoW, I do have a Steam account and have downloaded several games on there. I enjoy it quite a lot and have never had any trouble with it.
Yes, steam and origin. Cause steam is convenient and origin is mass effect.
Steam because a lot of my friends use it and it provides easy access as well as sales to a large amount of games.
yes , steam is good prog that can group the game in one place and open it fast and dont make u go lost
I have used steam and only because I had to for warhammer 40k dawn of war 2 and it caused to have to restart the campaign all over again.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
Steam.. because it's been around on my computers forever (probably around CS 1.6/CS:S), and I own quite a bit of Valve games (and in the meantime, lots of other publisher's games as well) - plus, it works great..I stay away however from all other publisher's D/L-platforms.. mostly, because they usually don't offer much variety and I simply don't trust them (yeah, talking about you, EA Origin!)
Yes, steam for couple of years, although for the past year battle.net has dominated my free time with wow and SC2. a little D3... also have used origin for Battlefield and crysis although its very messy and such a hassle compared to steam. dedicated servers on a web browser psshhh. just awful. steam is so easy to use.
I don't use Steam, Wow takes up all my free time.
I use Steam and unfortunately Origin.
I use Steam! But no other programs like that.
I have used steam in the past and have about dozen games on it, but I haven't used it in months. My husband uses it everyday to chat with friends.
I do use steam-- when I'm not playing WoW or Diablo 3. I use it because of the good deals they often have, and because I don't have a lot of room on my hard-drive. So I can install whatever game I'm into at the time, then uninstall it when I don't feel like playing it-- knowing that (with many of them) I can always reinstall it later.
I mainly buy my game digitally nowadays. My last few purchases have all been done online.Easier, faster and for me, personally, more convenient as I am now in SE Asia.
