I use steam daily for tons of games. I find it wonderful for both deals and it's great to just have all my games tied to an account that I can access anywhere.
I use Steam because it's only one of the best, if not the best digital distribution services.
Yes, I use Steam regularly. I really enjoy the convenience of Steam. Plus who can pass up there great sales?
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
I use Steam because it's reliable, convenient, and has a lot of content. It's also cross platform supporting (varying) Windows, Mac, and Linux. I like how I can buy physical media (DVDs/CDs) and then register with steam. I don't have to worry about loosing some small scrap of paper with a registration number or being unable to play the game due to a scratch on the disk. I like having one place to go to register games even if they are from separate companies. I don't want another set of login credentials to manage. Steam just works and when it doesn't Valve is very responsive to that.I've tried others and they weren't reliable and were much more limited in terms of content. EA Origin in particular was horrible enough that I'm avoiding their products. I can go for some length about it but there's no point. This isn't the place and even if it were EA doesn't seem to respond to feedback.Valve seems to be the only one doing it right.
I don't. I would like the kitty however!
I use Steam. Basically, if a game I want requires I use a digital download service...or if I can get enough of a price break by using one...I go that way.
no i really don't use any
I use Steam pretty often, and so do my friends. It really helps out when having to quickly find a gift for someone.
I do not because I do not feel that any of those services are safe. I also feel they redirect my browser, and I feel they collect user data statistics for marketing and other purposes other than what I am aware of. I feel like those services are vulnerable to "hackers" and that they take up strands and threads of RAM that could be better used by my machine for the game itself. I feel they are unnecessary, as I know how to download and install items, programs, etc. I feel I might use a service such as these if I felt it was from a reliable company that was trustworthy, and if it made it simpler to download things, instead of feeling like an extra step. Note that I say "feel" as I am not 100% certain. I make no negative or positive claims for these services, just what I feel they are or how they are. I hope this helps in your research and that it was the type of information you are looking for. Weather or not I win the Cinder Kitten, feel free to email me for follow up questions, or if I may be of assistance in another way. Thank you.
Steam and Origin (because I have to). I truly appreciate Steam for it's large indie selection and extremely good prices. I just with they'd pick up GoG.com and merge it with Steam. /sigh
No. I'm enjoying wow and sometimes diablo, I haven't heard of anything on steam that I wanted to play and can't think of any others like it :) If I move to something else it will probably be to try Neverwinter Nights
I do, sometimes. It usually is a more convenient way to purchase a game than going to the store. I tend to buy most of my games on the console, though. I suppose some of those are digital too.I have used EA's origin service and also Steam.
Sounds sweet hope i get one
I've used Steam in the past, not currently.
Yes, I use Steam. It's a great streamlined service. It's easy to buy and gift games to other people. All games are stored on the Steam "cloud", so even if you change computers or something like that, it's easy to get your games back. Plus, it's a great community.
I sometimes use steam. I don't play a lot of PC games other than WoW, though, so it's a hassle.
No, I don't use any.
I don't use steam. The only game I play on the computer is WOW
I use Steam all the time, makes it easy to see who of my friends are online and what they're up to. I also use the Curse client (don't know if that falls under the same category) to keep all my addons up to date.
