I use Steam as well. The ease of use and large selection of games as well as the sales that are constantly going on keep me coming back. Not to mention the community is pretty solid and you can move around to whatever PC you are on to download and play. It's just really super convenient.
I use Steam and by necessity Windows Live for some games. Windows Live has caused me quite some problems when playing games so I rarely use it, Steam hasn't let me down so far and it has frequently nice games on sale, organized library for your games, easy access to many features and informs you for new and future realeases. However adding a non-steam game to the library is meaningless since in-game chat doesn't work for the most games.
I use Steam mostly - it's wonderful to have access to hundreds of games, especially if they aren't available in stores, or if I just don't feel like going out of my way to go pick up a physical copy. It also incorporates a nice friend tool so I can get together with friends and, say, hack somebody's arm off in Chivalry ;D.I've also used Origin for SimCity, though I can't say I plan on using it for anything else...
I use Steam because it offers me a fast and easy access to games i like, i can redownload them any time, theyre always up to date. Its maybe not perfect, but good enough for me =)
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
I only use steam when I want to play TES: Skyrim, other than that don't go on it much.
I use Steam because they treat their customers with respect. They don't try to rip me off, they charge fair prices, and they have periodic sales on pretty much every game if you are patient enough. The service has only ever been down once (for about half an hour) when I tried to use it in as long as I can remember, and I could still play all of my games even while their servers were unavailable. I grudgingly use Ubisoft's Uplay service only because I am forced to do so if I want to play Far Cry 3, and if I had not gotten the copy of Far Cry 3 for free when I purchased my video card I would never use Uplay.
I use my boyfriend's steam account. Not sure what others there are but I use Curse for add-ons.
Cinder kitten is so pretty :D I want one!
Yes, I use Steam because I bought games that require me to use it.
I don't use Steam or other. As a 'collector' I like to own the tangible carton box.I purchase digitally WoW only (to instantly play when a new expansion is released)
I have Steam, but rarely use it .
I use steam because its good and fast
I take breaks from WoW from time to time. When that happens I've my Steam account with tons of games I haven't even played yet. Guaranteed to have something to do when WoW's tiring me.
I use Steam, only. It's all I need, otherwise I'll drown myself in game time.
I've used GOG and PSN. I do have a Steam account but I've never actually used it to buy anything. I use the GOG account because they made Ultima 4 available for free. PSN because I used to play a lot of rockband and there were other exclusive games that I was interested in buying as well.
I use Steam and hate other services shoe horn you into using them (Origin, GameStop app, especially Uplay) but really like Steam for the most part. It has come a long way since first releasing and knowing there is a half decent hack blocker for the supported games is something I like. There are only a few games I don't play that don't use Steam.
I used to use Steam a lot but nowadays I don't even have the shortcut on my taskbar. :x
