Yes, I used steam once to download Team Fortress 2 to play with my friends!
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
Few years ago - yeah, Steam was there for Half Life and L4D but now - it's only WoW, no time for other games.
Yes, Steam makes it fairly easy to keep track and manage what games I own in one place.
The only service of that type that I use is Steam, and really only because
Steam and Origin(EA).Mainly because some games require this. :)
I have used various Steam-type programs for the MMORPGs I have played and/or tested while taking breaks from WoW. I must admit that some of them that have only the one login screen for all of the supported games are rather nice.
I mainly use Steam other than World of Warcraft since alot of us like to play Team Fortress 2 and other games on there when nothing important is going on in Warcraft. (Lil' K.T. or Pandaren Monk pet please, already have the Cinder Kitten from when it was done as a charity fundraiser.)
Yes, I use Steam as well as Origin, although I don't like them very much. In both cases I was brought/forced to use it by a game that I wanted to play but was exclusive to the service. I think it's a shady tactic by publishers, but in both caes my love/want for the game was stronger than the hate for the publisher.
Yeah, i use it. Cuz my friends are also playing games like dota 2, call of duty...but they dont play wow. So, i playing with them ;)
I use steam mostly after we get things on farm. And thats mostly to fill time while the next tier/patch comes around. Not to mention their awesome sales that have allowed me to add to my games collection. :DOther than that, I have used origin but that was only because I was forced to use it in order to play ME3 MP. That client is just one of the many terrible things EA has spawned. :(
I wanna get that Cinder kitty, I have been waiting for this looong time, I need cause i never had that pet before, I just really wanna get this, please pick me, for good.... ;_;
Nope - tried Steam but it wasn't something I felt I needed so stopped using it
And what is that steam anyway?
I only use them when I am not able to play my game of choice without them. When I stop playing a game, I stop using Steam or Origin, or whatever. ;) But I must admit tools like these can be helpful with downloading upgrades, patches, all additional stuff. Or even with chatting with friends while playing!
My copies of World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 are digital downloads. I have used Steam, but only as a means to register my box-copy of The Orange Box. Digital download services like Steam, are useful to discover new games. They have the added benefit of cross-platform support for Macintosh users. (albeit for a limited catalog)
I used Steam for Plants vs. Zombies PC edition. I think it's a great way to keep digital downloads organized.
Only when I have a cold :D *runs away*
