You will want a DK over druid and warlock for battle rez. All because of anti magic zone, i can't see where that will not be beneficial to help you cheese or lessen the difficulty of a fight. Or even just to help the healer in case one died and you're going to need that to rez safely.
U forgot Resto Shammy on Battle Res if they use the talent
I'd personally love to see Mythic raids changed to 25-man. When they made Mythic mode a thing, they chose 20 because they didn't want the 10-man guilds feeling like they got the middle finger. It's been 6 years since. Let's go back 25-man, just like TBC. And there, problem solved! 5 mandatory buffs, 5 extra slots! 😂 Jokes aside, 25-man rosters should offer some more freedom in terms of compositions. All in all, I'm all for class buffs and unique utility. This article is an interesting point of view but does not take into account the vast amount of guilds that don't raid Mythic. However, maybe classes should be taxed for that kind of utility instead of basically being "an extra thing" that doesn't get taken into account when doing number tuning. In the same vein, hybrid classes should get stronger utility (which I think is happening to some extend in SL) and in turn get taxed for those.
It's funny reading this BS "oh i need to have 3 rogues to play different area's of the game"
watched this in video form, now im reading it in article form
If you have a mage and a rogue, why does it have to be a demon hunter for 5% magic damage? Why not possibly a wind walker for 5% physical buff for rogue, monk and tank instead of just 5% magic for a single mage and DH? Or couldn’t you take it further and say brewmaster for 5% buff to rogue and DH for 5% to mage and Resto Druid for Battle Rez? Or Blood DK for Battle Rez......So it seems to me that you may have more options that may fall more on tuning and skill, than on it has to be these three DPS. I agree BL is very important in high key M+ which can greatly funnel the need of a ranged mage, hunter (not MM due to dps loss over pet summon and dismissal), and shaman. But I feel that there are enough changes and tuning to open up the rest of the options instead of saying it requires mage, DH, rogue, Resto Druid, tank.... that’s all. I do feel drums nerf may cause more “requirements” in high M+ but I am going to hold onto the idea Blizzard is trying to create class need with these changes and may see this may not be the best way before they release. But I don’t think if you have skilled players you are as restricted as you say. It is a good point you make, just not in my opinion quite as restrictive as you imply. In my opinion.
Why does people act like this changes are good because non-meta specs will make it to m+ because of their utility? They will NEVER be able to join good groups with this. Wanna play feral/balance/guardian? Too bad, since resto druid is meta will make for the healer in 90% of the m+ groups above 15. Wanna play frost/Unholy? Too bad, if blood is meta you will never get an slot, since you bring nothing new to the table. Want to play tank or healer without being rdruid or blood? In what world would they accept you since you can't bring anything as much worth to the table like the br this classes offer? (Resto shaman maybe, but let's be honest, since when resto shaman has been any worth in m+) Who whould bring a hunter or ele sham to m+ if mage can bring BL too AND the int buff for him and the healer at the very least? (And mage is probably the only caster who has his ground in m+ every season)For this to work, many changes would have to be made and they have to be spec dependant, not class dependant IMOTL:DR This changes maybe will bring non-meta classes but will definitely kill the non-best specs of each class
I just really cant understand why blizzard is punishing mythic+ that much...with BfA and corruption mage was must and hunter ....so by default u had to 2 fix dps spots out of all those dps.... why u have to punish mythic+ ppl and u have to push them every damn time to choose not who is good player and knows to play... but what spec or class is bis to have it that is so stupid and nerf after 5 exp drums because blizzard want to punish mythic+ group to have at least 1 of those specs that giving hero is very bad...and with BM hunters in mythic+ already by having 1 or 2 of them in a key u anyways have to use drums because is lost dps for them to switch pets to use hero is also very bad, i am not say the same for mages... but in my high exp in mythic+ from BfA on alliance side at least to get a good fire mage who knows to play his class it was not rare it was extremly rare... 90% of them they had full mastey corruption... 90% of them even if they was mythic raiders they had zero idea how to play there class....in other words it was just the some of the high mythic+ they made meta class in mythic+ and 80-90% of the rest ppl they could do the same as they.. so if ppl they want to bring hunter o mage or rogue or dh then it up to Blizzard to fix that so all classes to be able to join and not only 4 or 5-6 of the 32
I kinda wish the old potions were only being disabled in Shadowlands zones and instances instead of not working at all above level 50, what's the harm in letting us use them in old content?
Did you forget about hunter pet buffs? Pet lust is still a thing in SL, correct?
For a class with 2 healing specs, Priests should've been given a Battle Rez tbh...
My takeaway from all of this is that nothing matters anymore. Expansions are all new standalone games now, with nothing connecting them except some thin story threads. Next one comes out, everything fr the pr virus no longer exists and you start over from scratch with everything. Seems pretty pointless to play the game knowing that.
Class buffs are not a big deal, but 5% extra damage/magic tied to one class is %^&*!@ed broken and should have never been introduced.
