If Blizzard decided to kill off Sylvanas im done with the game, because they will do it by an half assed storyline. There isen't anyone that can replace sylvanas as forsaken leader without them screwing up the lore. I don't care about her being warchief, however there isen't anyone that can replace her currently that won't screw up everything for the horde.
I look at this planet and both of its major political factions the way Anduin looks at Sylvanas at the start of Battle for Azeroth and the end of Before the Storm: incapable of change and capable only of being soul-draining, child/innocent-sacrificing, self-justifying bullies, who act like they serve a higher cause/morality but in the end are only out to preserve themselves at the expense of others. The religion of altruism and authority laid bare for what it is: the narcissist tyrannizing the egoist.Seeking peace without any regard for liberty, truth, and justice is, indeed, like a farmer planting crops in a poisoned field. The farmer may get what he wants, but the taste will be bitter and his unenviable death will be inevitable and earned, with only those harmed by his misplaced tolerance truly deserving of mourning. The Horde will get the war it craves and this planet will get the armageddon it craves. To each what they've sown. There will be peace for those who deserve it in Valhalla. The rest can rot in the Void, and in Sylvanas's case, return to it.Whether in-game or afk, evil wears the same drapes.
No matter what happen next. If they put Sylvanas down from warchief throne ,next warchief will be weak. Baine, Saurfang are traitors. Thrall is hated. Others are non-suitable. Better put whole horde down after this. Or factions as whole. It's almost stupid what they do with lore now. They put new warchief on throne. Make story where she "save" varian and then vol'jin. Create personality about leader who only want save her people . She even was forced to warchief post. But then..new expansion happens and everything going to hell. She start war. She start everything do in evil way. This book is last kick to it.Don't make me wrong. I really love Sylvanas as character. I blame blizzard for this. If they destroy last character with story and normal personality. Horde will die only with side-kicks characters.
Well, I have been defending Blizzard long enough. This doesn't look good and like another easy cop-out Alliance bias story arc.The problem not being, that Sylvanas is being painted as too evil. No, that she isn't. There are even admissions of Alliance leaders, that she really does care about the Forsaken. She's going about it in a "my way or the highway" manner, but she does care. A lot. Then again, a lot of the texts in the actual game contradict Sylvanas as being a powerhungry warmonger. Seeing as she attempts to capture Teldrassil as a "preemptive measure to not further war" probably by trying to deny the Alliance to get Azerite. Its a valid tactic. Same was done at the beginning of WW1, when Germany didn't get any more saltpetre from Chile, due to a British sea blockade, which is crucial in the manufacture of gunpowder, so they had to develop a method of synthesizing ammonia from the nitrogen in the air, which could then be used to synthesize nitric acid. The problem is, that Anduin is being painted as too perfect and pure.
Calia isn't being set up to replace Sylvanas, it's pretty obvious she's being set up to lead an allied race version of the Forsaken that join the Alliance.
