Players will still not use it. Even the last with the last one guilds hardly ever got back to players. They make you sign up for sites and have to put in applications. That takes a crazy amount of time because these guilds pages are scattered to the four corners of the internet, never on just one site. Its a crazy process, one that is not worth the time. having to put in an application just to find friends is asinine. This will fail also. I really hope it does not, but i hold no hope.
imo Guilds have apps largely to deter trolls, that's our primary reason for having one, in addition to getting a bit of insight to who is looking to join our community.
Does anyone know if we are getting an updated guild info where we can actually put more information into anywhere inside the guild system or for the next 2 years am I going to have to still keep trying to get people to use discord which nulifies the in game voice chat as a guild?
Blizzard have no intetion to ever revamping the look of the default UI. Thats why the wow mods system is designed to allow replacement of the entire in game interface.Higher defination assets, created for new features are as good as it will ever get.
The limit is 1000 people. https://i.imgur.com/k4vss2T.jpg
That's going to be a problem then
Communities Are a step in the right direction now we just need cross realm guilds and them we can move on to cross faction guilds, as even though blizz is doing the war idea AGAIN me and the 300 or so people In the main discord I’m in think it’s dumb we were finally moving in the direction of everyone working together and now this again, i just hope that blizz gives its customers The opportunity to play together as on a personal level we don’t have to care what our factions are doing, we can just run around “”putting out fires”” that get started by the leaders been silly.
is the only way to join 1 of these to /w some1 in 1 & ask for the pw? cause thats supremely stupid.
I am no longer able to change the guild MOTD. How has this changed? Is it Guildmaster only?
So, where is officer chat?
I may be completely blind, but in the new Guild UI, where do you add a new guild member? I can't find that option. Thanks in advance.
Currently the "Guild invite" function within the Guild window, has a bug, as it has been confirmed by a game master. There's to use the Slash command "/ginvite NAME" to invite Players into the Guild. However the Guild and Community window is empty for me, even I'm Guild master on one realm and Guild member on others….
I have no problem with the communities feature, but it's usurping the guild leader's of Wow ability to customize ranks properly because Blizz didn't make two separate features, they overrode (shanghaied and dumber down) guild control in favor of communities. They have removed almost all rank customizations for ranks that have always been available to guild leaders As a guild leader for 12+ years, I feel back-stabbed and blindsided by this unannounced, unasked for (and unwanted) action on Blizzard's part.Having so many of the rank options now "lumped' together is incredibly foolish and unnecessary making a guild leader's job harder, guild theft more likely, harder to manage larger guilds, etc...etc...etc..Read the forums Blizz. The guild leaders and officers of wow guilds are up in arms over this as much as many are up in arms over the new and "improved" game ui(At least the unsightly new game ui can be fixed with a simple addon. Not so for guild control settings)
