Tyrande is noticeably shorter in height than Thalyssra. I think I first noticed this when all the elves were standing next to each other at the Nighthold gates. I thought Kal'dorei were the tallest type of elf?
"Look at it objectively"*bitter laughter*That's the problem right there. Few people are even capable of being 100% objective about themselves. Just the claim of being so very objective is not objective.Faulting fictional characters for not being more objective is a mug's game.
I am a little sad that from what the cut scene shows it looks like the void elves have /a/ tent. Not even tents. Just one. and like four npcs. I know they are not like super numerous... but this makes it seem like there are.. ten? or so. In all of existence.
I guess i see it kind of as if someone is a recent ex-substance abuser, the people who are going to be most sympatetic to them are people who have beaten similar issues in the past, not a people whose main thing is walking the straigth and narrow. At the same time, it's not unreasonable for anyone to assume that this person might go wrong again. So while Tyrande's side might be considered 'wrong' for not wanting to give second chances, or 'right' for assuming that there's troubles ahead still, the bloodelves are also on both sides of the fence; they are more sympatetic, but they also might be too optimistic as they have a vested interest in proving that elves can rebuild and be strong after beating a magic addiction. Like this, its not hard to see which side thalryssa would pick; after all, joining the nightelves would mean most likely an (elven) lifetime of proving themselves, whereas the bloodelves would be much more helpfull and forthcoming. Personally, i find it strange that they aren't a neutral faction, as both sides helped them reconstruct, and their bonds with either elf faction are not without strain, as opposed to for example the bond between the two tauren races. For them not joining the alliance, i suppose its a diplomatic failure on the alliance side. Tyrande has every right to be suspicious or even hostile (their response to drawing the legion to azeroth was raise a shield and tell the other races to deal with it), but if we are building up to a war between factions and every soldier counts, perhaps Anduin or Greymane would have been much better ambassadors. Both have much more sympathy for a redemption story.I'm not surprised, but i wish there was more complexity. The horde is more than Liadrin, just as the alliance is more than just Tyrande.
I can't shake off the feeling the Alliance is slowly being turned into the bad guys. Alleria is full of void and the Lightforged... from those cutscenes, I just have a bad feeling. Please tell me I am not the only one.
